we need to sign a out and out number 9 striker who’s horrible, strong stays up the pitch kicks and scares defenders to bits. Look what happened when Mcburie came on today.

Think we’ll need a natural goalscorer up top if we want to do it.
With a goal scorer yesterday we win 4/5-0. Some of Moore’s hold up play was excellent and he’s decent with his feet but until Hamer/ Brooks cramped up I thought it was time to change things up top.

Campbell, Brewster & Moore is a good trio to go at but none of them are prolific.

If we're going to play with 1 up front all season then we're never going to have a prolific goal scorer up top, as their primary role is to bring Brooks, O'Hare and Hamer into good attacking positions. Any goals the lone striker scores will be a bonus. If we change to 2 up top or 3 then we need one. Moore is the perfect player for the system we're trying to use. He'll maybe get 10 max all season, but that's fine so long as the midfield are firing away. I still think Wilder will be looking to bring another striker in, whether that's on loan or a permanent signing.

I think the tactics we used last night didn't suit Moore, particularly the kicks from the keeper, there's no use kicking it up to him to head it on if he's the most advanced, there was nobody to head it on to, although I was impressed by how he handled the ball when he had it to feet.

Davies was frustrating me last night
Terrified to release it early, holding on to the ball for an eternity until

Preston were back in shape
Hopefully copper signs as his distribution is one of his strong points

Moore will get goals, no doubt. He worked their defence and was in the right positions time after time. The service to him just wasn't quite there, but that will come and he did miss one proper sitter.

Liam Lindsay also should have been booked earlier which would have prevented that ridiculous rugby tackle later on when Moore was pulling away from him. He was a proper dirty cunt that lad.

Agreed, he hardly got a sniff when the ball was pumped forward to him and he was isolated. A lot better when the ball was at his feet. A bad miss in the second half but that sharpness in the box should come as the games progress.

Neat and tidy start from Moore, not fantastic, but he will definitely be a handful when up to speed.

For me Moore is an upgrade on McBurnie. His goal return might end up being no better at the end, but his graft, hold up play and general play is so much better. I could forgive him not scoring many if his link up play is positive. McBurnie looked like a new born giraffe who couldn't control his own limbs. His hold up play was poor and goal returns over 5 seasons piss poor. He was not worth the money we paid and he was average at best in the Championship. I won't miss him.

I think where he has ended up says a lot.

Campbell?

We've got one, it's Keiffer Moore.
Some of our team have to understand that aiming a ball at a strikers head just because he's 6ft 5" is not a good idea. What's he supposed to do with it?
He could be 7ft 5" and flick every single header on, but what good will it do when he's the most advanced player?

We all saw what he does when the ball is put into his feet, he won every single one of them, then either laid it off or turned and got fouled

Agreed, and let's face it, Spain have just won the Euros with one striker up front (Morata) who scored just once. Thought more was not just better than previous strikers but much fitter. Like him or not, McBurnie often looked shagged after 30 minutes. Moore looked stronger as the game went on.
