This reared it’s head about 4 or 5 years ago, and turned out to be a scam; and today I have had a call from ‘Chicago’ offering to buy my SUFC shares for rather a large wedge of cash. Suspect it’s a scam? Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar call?

I'll buy them from you. You can trust me because this is the internet.

Just give me your bank account number and PIN, so I can pay in like.

Better give me your motheŕs maiden name too, so I can hide it from any fraudsters.

The money will be in your account very shortly, once our director gets back. He's a Nigerian Prince and very rich, so you've nowt to worry about .

See United home page.

There are 477 deferred shares of £100 each in SUFC Ltd and a further 204 deferred shares of 1p each classed as equity. Everything else is owned by BLades Leisure/owners .

The 913 Preference shares are included as debt not equity.

None of the above mentioned shares entitles any holder to a vote or the right to attend an AGM so a bit of a waste of time.

If the shares are for Sheffield United Ltd, they are valued around 6-8p. The scammers should do a bit more homework.

Funnily enough, I've been recently offered some :)

Yes but I recognised The Prince’s voice instantly and hung up on him!

I’m up for this – have PM-ed you the details though, as I’m concerned posting them in the forum might not be very secure. Cheers.
