Looking at the squad it doesn't bode well that Fleck is missing, since this was the new managers first opportunity to choose his squad, it appears that Fleck is behind Kevin McDonald in the pecking order as well as the usual's from previous squad like John McGinn of Hibs, Cairney of Fulham plus a few from Celtic. McLeish did however call up another center mid in Dylan McGeouch from Hibs! Then you've got the new lad from Man U Scott McSommat which again doesn't help Fleck.

Bearing in mind that Scott Brown has retired, Barry Bannan is injured and Darren Fletcher and James McArthur haven't been selected it looks bleak that Fleck must be about 12th choice to get in. If Fleck wasn't selected now then I fear that he won't be under McLeish unless there is a major injury crisis.

You can't argue with them selecting Cairney, Armstrong and McTominay but McGinn, McLean and McGeough?! I can't really see Fleck getting in the squad unless we get promoted and even then he's likely to behind Cairney and McTominay. Its the same old of a Scottish manager preferring the "quality" of the SPL over Fleck.
