Glad to see they haven't given up any hope, I know a lot of people are saying it's quite optimistic to go for a play-off place.

''We'll have so much to play for, for our fans and for ourselves''

And while they do their part to win matches, the least we can do is carry on giving them that great support that has returned since Blacke came in :)

Up The Blades

Kevin Blackwell has refused to concede that a play-off place is definitely out of reach despite the blow of an unlucky defeat at Preston.

The loss left the Blades in 13th place, eight points behind Wolves, but with four home games to play in the final six matches United will go all out to end the season with a bang.

The United manager said: "We all have so much to play for, for the fans and ourselves, because we are playing for the future. Results all season have shown that places are up for grabs and we will not give up until we can't catch the teams in the play-off spots."

That intent was demonstrated at Deepdale when James Beattie was thrown on in place of Gary Naysmith and formed a triple strike force with Rob Hulse and Billy Sharp in a bid to get back on terms:

"We weren't just going to sit back, we have to play a risky game because only wins can keep alive any chance of going up. In situations like that we need important decisions to go for us but unfortunately they didn't."

The imbalance of fixtures now leave United with two successive home games, against Leicester on Saturday and Sheffield Wednesday three days later.

I think we need too many teams to drop too many points, but win the next two and see where we are then. Ya never know...

Thanks Linz, for some reason i'm un-able to C&P from the OS, any ideas anyone?

Try pressing the STOP button (red x) on your browser as the text loads up. The page is probably protected, but the protection loads after the text so you can stop the page before protection kicks in.

I think

What he said... they usually place a transparent image over the text to stop people c&ping. But press stop quickly in IE and you stop the image loading.

Or use Firefox :)

Its important to win as many games as possible so we can go into the close season in confident mood!! :D
