Considering it was his first game against Fleetwood I thought he did ok. His touch was pretty good and he did hold the play up pretty well ... And then used the ball well from there . Didn't go on Saturday so can't comment there.
The key for me ( and this crosses over a few points already on this thread and a few on other threads ) is the style of play ... Not just the formation.
We ask for our strikers to play with their backs to goal, control balls fired at them at all heights and all angles , play too deep etc etc . It must be a nightmare which is why I have posted before that it gets to me a bit when the forwards get criticised ( unless they have missed open goals which backing up my point doesn't happen much )
It's very slightly better than it was IMO and Done despite being small gives it his absolute all and does a really good job.
So .. It's too early to tell on Davies but as posted by others his goal ratio isn't too bad ... But we need to get the ball down , speed up the tempo and don't cross the ball until we've got past the 18 yard line ... When we've done that we might stand have a chance of creating chances for our strikers ...
Like I say better than it was but could still improve a lot.
