£1.5m for Alzate is one of the bargains of the summer
Doubt we’d be paying that fee though. It’s one thing selling him to a team in the MLS.. another selling him to a rival in the same league. Same with the lad from stoke. It wouldn’t be that fee if we were interested.

One team is looking to exit the league through the top end. The other is under an umbongo and trying not to exit through the other end. To say that we are rivals just because we are in the same division is a tad silly

Would you sell to a club in the same division for a low fee? Or would you push the line and aim to get a higher one?

The terms you use are irrelevant. Would I sell to any club for a fee that I feel is not value? No. Would I sell to any club for a fee that I feel is value? Yes. It would need to be a super high profile player who I think would make a big material difference to our prospects in the upcoming season before I move the "value" line even slightly. Nobody cried when we sold Bogle last year.

I’ll make it easy for you. Would you sell to a team in the same division for the same fee you’d accept to a team in a different one? I also meant rivals in that Hull have some weird fetish about us being a rival team. Not rival in the sense of they’d be challenging.

Yes. Hull have for all intents and purposes zero impact on how we will do this season.

Atlanta United agree deal for Hull's Alzate
Latest from Sky Sports News' Mark McAdam and Chris Siddall:

Atlanta United have agreed a deal with Hull for Steven Alzate.

The fee for the 26-year-old midfielder is £1.5m plus £370,000 in add-ons.

Alzate is set to fly to the US tomorrow for his medical."

We could have really done with the three points they took off us at the lane for a start.
What difference would three additional points have made? Utd would still have been seven points behind Burnley with an inferior goal difference

Ah yes, that loss that caused us to finish third instead of third, which caused such a lack of confidence we won our next four games. My mistake.

Only two teams materially impacted our league season, and they were coincidentally the ones who got automatically promoted.

A 30% reduction in the gap isn’t ‘zero’ impact is it?

Beat Hull and avoid that disastrous Easter week of results and we avoid Wembley.
