Difficult and harsh to judge a keeper off 1 game but based on the below from May 2024 (United U21s 4-2 Swansea City U21s), unless he has improved massively from here, he isn't ready yet for Championship football. He flapped at a few, although their 1st goal was a peach, being 6'2 and having a weak defence in front of him he will be getting more of those fired at him. Their 2nd goal he was at fault and couldn't get a strong enough arm for a fairly tame shot that squirmed underneath. With the whole ethos of you can only play what's in front of you and all that, that is all I have seen of him to be able to judge as a keeper what he brings. He isn't particularly tall or imposing, he would struggle to boss players about especially at senior level. Although Davies isn't the option, he is the only one we have if Cooper is injured. An earlier post mentioned bringing in Forster on a temporary deal, personally even though he is 37, I would if we could until the end of the season even £1million signing on fee and £30k a week, he would be worth the approx £1.7mill if we stayed up. He is 6'7, brings a lot of experience with him and would be worth it, even if you ended up dropping him to the 2nd keeper when Cooper is back fit. Faxon could then go out on loan for regular men's football and we will see what league we are in as to where we go from there come summer.
