He's been excellent whenever called on.
Thing is, Egan has been so good you just cant justify not putting him in the middle of that back 3/5.

Stears undoubtedly a model of professionalism and consistency. We are very fortunate to have him.

Stears also a better threat at offensive set pieces.

Stearman was the last player to reach the tunnel yesterday, as the team went off and had 'high-fives' with every member of the coaching staff and the unused subs. Looked absolutely pumped up.

Must correct your mistake mate. Stearman has his own thread, plus many mentions regarding his performance yesterday. He led from the back yesterday, always making sure that every one of his team-mates was alert to any possible danger. One of Wilder's finest signings, and exactly the type of guy you want as an influence for the younger players.

Over the years we've had some great senior pro's - McGrath, Cowans, Speed, to name a few - and I'm sure everyone will happily add Stearman to that list.
