Whichever announcer we have, the conversations that they have at half time with respective guests are totally inaudible. Would love to hear what is being said, but never catch a word.

Meet Her At The Love Parade by Da Hool is an absolute BANGER that has become synonymous with a Bramall Lane pre match build up, I utterly love it.

It will be a sad, sad day when he stop playing it - long may it ring out at Beautiful Downtown Bramall Lane 🙌⚔️
Totally agree! I actually think we should play more techno/progressive house bangers in the hour leading up to the kick off. Dj with Pioneer Cjd 3000’s up in the control room.

We might have grown accustomed to MMATLP, but when I look down at the away fans from BLUT corner you'll see loads of them having a little rave with silly grins on their faces. I like that.

Does anyone remember when instead of Annie’s song we got the opening notes of the next track on the cd, Grandma’s feather bed!?

It’s different under Wilder than it was under Hecky isn’t it?

I shall pay attention tomorrow

Or forget to
Yeah it is. Wilder deffo has some input. Remember he specifically chose Ian Brown before we played the pigs other year. And No Mercy hasn’t been played I don’t think this season.
People complaining about Sinclair need to remember what it’s like on those days when Sinclair is off and that ‘other bloke’ does the job, you know who I mean the one who sounds like he won a raffle to operate a P.A. System at football ground for a day..

….not only is he terrible he is an absolute Jonah .. I don’t think we have ever won a game when he has been doing the job.
Standout memory of him…. Second half substitute was happening and he got his sub announcement and attendance announcement mixed up… “ coming off Jonathan Forte - thank you for your support” 🤣

Safe to say Gary Sinclairs long term future as stadium announcer is safe and sound based an his stand ins performance today - good god almighty that was tough on the ear holes.

Get back to the Lane, Mic in hand in time for Wednesday Mr Sinclair!
Unfortunately he won't be there on Wednesday night.

He had an operation won’t be back for some time

Oh no! Wasn't aware of that!
In that case, not sure if he reads the forum, but regardless - hope he has a full and speedy recovery from his op!

For all the stick Sinclair gets (and I don’t like the lack of spontaneity re songs at full time) the alternatives have always been far worse.

I thought today’s bloke did a passable karaoke Garyoke, tbf.

He was certainly reading from the same script, though didn’t appear to have been at the pre-match sherry.

The guy today said after the final whistle something along the lines of "Please be respectful to the residents when leaving the ground."

It made me laugh and cringe.
It just sounded out of place and like it was lifted straight from an old FIFA game.
90% of the vicinity of BL are students and businesses and it's not like fans are smashing up houses on Shorham or John Street at 5 o clock in the evening on a Saturday 🤷‍♂️

Hope Gaz gets better soon.

Gary Sinclair has been at BDTBL for an eternity, and I have met him at his studio in Dronfield, and his passion never waivers. Song wise before and after, you cannot better "United" Judas Priest, or " Sandstorm" Darude, they take you to a next level, especially after walking out of the ground after a win. The announcer at the Lane when my dad took me to my first game in the 60's was Ian Ramsay, another top quality announcer! Happy days!
Ey up Silky me owd cocker. How are you?

7/10. Your best attempt yet. Solid Utd references but nothing gets past me. I think the songs you were looking for were:

Waterfront
Hey Jude
You’re just too good to be true
Daddy cool

I like GS generally. Think he's a great speaker and the choice of music is good prematch. He is responsible for the Tom Harkes post goal celebrations and introduced the invitation for all to open each game with Annie's Song. But I have to take issue with his desire to mention every Tom Dick and Harry's passing before every game. I'm a big believer in paying respects if someone dies. I always attend funerals when someone I know has passed away. But I go to Bramall Lane, to support United and have a good time with my mates. I do think that sometimes, the atmosphere can be stunted, because GS does his pre match tribute to someone who has recently died. Put it in the program, maybe an image on the scoreboard at half time, but don't depress everyone before we've kicked a ball

Missed GS today.

There were a few other misses;

1. Gary Sinclair
2. The Pompey striker facing an open goal
3. Brewster shooting (again)
4. Entertainment

Poor day all round for me at BDTBL today.

Red button for me on Wednesday night, so that'll be another miss.

Gary Sinclair always says that line about being respectful to our neighbours on the way out.

Couldn't hear a ruddy word!

Yeah agree.. he was clear enough but just not a pleasant voice to listen to.

Great support
Lol, and fair point.

I don't normally travel back for midweek games, but I'll make the extra effort to do so if we are playing entertaining football and I'm enjoying it. I'm not enjoying it ATM (and I'm not entitled), so after yesterday I'm not making a 200mile round trip for the Middlesbrough game, and I'll watch it at home on TV. The club have had my money already.
