I'm not sure if this picture has been posted anywhere over the past 24 hours so apologies if so.

This picture was taken when we equalised to make it 1-1 on Saturday. Even though Chris Wilder looks like he is pretending to ride a horse, the passion on show makes me feel very proud of this football club at this time. I was as disappointed as any after the full time whistle but this seems to have filled me with so much belief.

Even misfits that seem to attract negative opinions from our fans such as Mcnulty and Long can be seen celebrating as much as they would if they had scored themselves. This seems to be the best team spirit for 10 years or more.

On a seperate note I'd love to be wrapped in a warm loving embrace by the bloke just in front of James Wilson. Those guns look very inviting

Agree it's a great photo but it was discussed yesterday. Probably needs merging.

Also can't think of anything worse being cuddled/ embraced by a bloke unless you're female or gay.

With Gary Madine's head rolling about devoid of his body in front. Although I'm definitely placing a bet on 2-1 Blades with Madine to score at some point.

Decent shout. If you went Madine first scorer & 2-1 Blades I'd have thought you'd get pretty good odds... might be tempted ;)

It's nailed on that Madine willl get dogs abuse
Then end up scoring against us.

Big decision for Wilder.
Does he bring EEL back because at set pieces EEL can negate Madines aerial threat?
It's on the floor where EEL struggles but that's not relevant to Bolton.

The Ebola Virus
Nazi's
Having your wedding tackle clamped in a vice
Finding out someone has eaten the last After Eight

All worse than being cuddled/embraced by a bloke, as a straight bloke. In fact some of my most enjoyable times in BDTBL have been when I've been unexpectedly embraced by a strange bloke.

This could not have been said by somebody who has never been hit straight in the love spuds by a football on a cold morning. Give me the random bloke any day of the week.

Yeh I know what you mean.
It was a figure of speech not literal.
Agree when we score a very special goal I'm up for embracing anyone. Just lose control ha ha.

Can anyone name all the players in order in that photo? I don't get to the lane too often these days as living abroad, Saturday was my first visit since last season's boxing day shit show 2-3 loss against posh.

I've noticed a bit of negativity on here about the scunny result but to me, it was such a breath of fresh air to see united play so positively and precisely, especially in the midfield, by far the best football we've played since the Kendall season in my opinion.

UTB!

by far the best football we've played since the Kendall season in my opinion.

I've been saying that to anyone who will listen (a declining few).

We have played some lovely stuff at times using pace down the wings and some superb short and long passing in midfield.
The quality of crossing could bear some improvement and we only really have Duffy prepared to dribble into the box, but even so we have been treated to some great stuff this season.

We got results under Warnock but arguably the 2002/3 side (McCall, Chief, Ndlovu, Jags, Tonge) was better than the 2005/06 vintage for the actual footy played.

This is what gets my goat about some of the moaning after the Scunny game. Best stuff we've seen for many years and yet some miserable twats still want a flake in it.

I also thought it was an outstanding team display on Saturday,no complaints leaving the ground at all,yet i find myself now,3 days on,wishing we had played crap and got 3 points, rather than the superb performance that saw us gain just the one,we can play rubbish and win every single of the 13 remaining for me

It's the two guys top left who caught my attention, two guys of similar age to me, who have suffered all their lives because they are Blades with all the grief that comes with it.
A great moment, just sums it all up for me.

True

As a one off match, the result is always more important than the performance.
Good results have a short term postive affect.

However for me performances are a clue to where the club is heading.
Performances are an indicator of our future. Also eventually results catch up with performances.

So of course I was dissapointed we dropped 2 points against Scunthorpe
But I walked away with a warm smugness knowing that Wilder DEFINATELY has us on the right track.
And his team could surpass anything that Warnock did.

Under Warnock and Bassett the team had character and workmanlike/ battling qualities
However under Wilder, admit it's an easier standard but this team play with quality and class.
Unless you were around watching the team in the early 70's it's something we're not used to
Apart from a few years under Kendall where again we played some top stuff.

Really enjoying going to BL, the football has been top notch.

The Hoofers will be incandescent with rage at some of the views here. They can't wait for a bad run so they can bleat bollocks about proper football not working...

Was about to give you a big "LIKE" for the photo, and then...., I saw George Long sat on the bench!!!
Now I'm going to be having nightmares again!!! Cheers!!

;)

Every breath I take...

'.....I exhale a load of bollocks?'

It's a simple enough request. Given that the two things you prattle on about most are 'proper football' and 'hoofers', it'd be a pretty damning indictment if it turned out you knew fuck-all about either don't you think?

Anyway, take your time.....
