God's country ...... Rovrum!
All subjective and apologies if this topic has been broached on here previously.

On Tuesday night the last 15 mins or so the players looked out on their feet.

This is not the first time I've seen the players look absolutely bollocksed in the latter stages of the game.

The question is, is this the main reason why we are conceding so may late goals?

One can point to individual mistakes and is that Danny's fault? No it isn't!

However, individual mistakes can be attributed to tiredness, lack of concentration etc. Training methods, or lack of them can be attributed to the manager. I'm not blaming Wilson (yet) but we seem to have gone from one of the fittest squads in whichever league we are playing in, to one that looks knackered in the late stages of games. Why?

Of course the one exception to this post is Simmo. If he's tired standing in goal we are all f'ked! :)

They do look beat, but I believe it`s more of a mental thing. The conceding late business is turning into a habit. You watch the players and they visibly slump. The body language is all wrong.

As has been pointed out we lack an onfield Leader, someone with a rallying cry. Quinny was doing this earlier in the season, time to give him the armband ?

Spot on, all in the mind. Our fitness levels were good early season and one of the plus points was how we harried the opposition when we didn't have the ball, much as Bradford did to us on Tuesday. Wilson has come out in the last couple of days questioning certain players mentatlity and effort so he seems to think the same.

I know it's difficult at times, but the crowd should surely play their part. Getting on players' backs cannot help their state of mind.

I dont think weve had a properly fit squad since Daley was our fitness coach.

WHen Blackwell was in charge he over trained players resulting in shed loads of injuries.

Warnock took alot of credit for our promotion ,his best weapon was Tony Daley and his fitness methods,Wolves have benefited from our loss.

There clearly is mental thing with our players - but I don't think it is just that, most of them are clearly not fit enough physically. The fitness levels weren't particularly tested in some of the earlier games but now they are being, we have been found wanting. Bradford looked far fitter - which was shocking. There's no excuse for it. And when you add this to our dire corners & free kicks, it makes you wonder what the players / management / coaches do all week.

I'd like to see Quinny take over the armband but expect him to depart in January anyway. I do feel we are lacking a leader on the pitch. Monty runs around a lot and has been with the club since his teens but I don't feel he has the qualities that make a good captain.

An acquaintance of mine works at the club and he described Tony Daley as a lazey fucker who couldn't wait to get out of the door every day. He was ultra unimpressed with him.

There seem to be lots of people who "deserve credit" for Warnock's promotions. I remember Blackwell getting the same plaudit. There's only one common factor in all SEVEN......:)

If he was employed as a fitness coach and the team was fit - he can bugger off when he likes as long as he does his job.
