Steady on lad. We can't play Southampton every week, unfortunately, and Walsall were a decent side who took their best chance well and competed honestly throughout the game.

Walsall were very ordinary overall and terrible at back. We have completely thrown two points away against another poor team.

I take it you didn't play well today. Well if it's any consolation, neither did we, the same old problems were there and this is why I maintain you have a chance against us.
Burnley were poor and should have been put away a lot earlier. We must have had well over 20 attempts but only put two away, this worries me.
Lamela had the best game i've seen for us and scored a peach.
Was hoping for a fast flowing attack style football after the game against Newcastle but it was slow and methodical and we weren't brilliant at breaking Burnley's defense down.

I would imagine you will bring more to WHL than Burnley did? poor turn out from them.

Lamela is a horrible cheating girl of a "footballer", I loved it the other week when he took a dive then waved his imaginary card trying to get a fellow pro booked.

Despicable turd of a "man".

What we have in the cup matches but lack in the league 1 campaign .

Class , Quality and Responsibility .

In the cup games we have 11 leaders , in league games we have none.

At least us supporters are consistent , with turning up in thousands to watch the blades both home and away.

I can't say i've seen him do it too often, I have seen him go down easy once or twice but I wouldn't call him a serial offender.

In this day and age i'm afraid every club has been guilty of this, you included.http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/165255-sheffield-utd-syncronised-diving-team/

So, you've gone back almost three years on our local rival's message board (the supremely delusional *wlstalk) to find some support for your view that we have players who fall over (or go down easy if it's one of yours) just like Prem players do. I'm not sure that's conclusive proof under any circumstances, let alone just after they'd won a crucial derby game. The accused main offender is Stephen Quinn, who apart from anything else, hasn't played for us for more than two years.

Look, if it helps, and you need a name from our current squad to help you argue that all professional footballers are the same, I'll make it easy for you. It's Jose Baxter and personally, it's very frustrating when he does it, I wish he didn't

Baxter doesn't dive. He just kind of flops down like a stubby legged toddler. A ref is more likely to pick him up and pat him on the bum than award a penalty.

12 of us have just booked the 1.46 from Donny to Kings Cross and the 11:30 back. When we went to WHU it was a mare as we had to do 13 stops whereas WHL is only 4 stops on the Victoria Line to Tottenham hale, thats where we got off last time to the stadium we went past 7 sisters to Tottenham Hale, ID LiKe LISTERS VIEWS ON WHETHER HE THINKS THAST THE BEST.

When we went to Upton park we got off at Liverpool Street for a few bevies it is dear as owt, straight across to Dirty Dicks and it was nearly £12 for two pints, thats £3.60 in my Sam Smiths local in Donny.

After WHU game we had extra time and penalties and last train was 11:30 and we got to train at 11.28, it was a nightmare running up them escalators for my owd ticker.

So unless Lister says different we will get off tube at Finsbury Park for much pre match beverages then back on tube to Tottenham Hale, over to you Lister.

I wouldn't call him a serial offender, I'd call him a horrible cheating piece of shit. I live in the States and have the "pleasure" of seeing Tottenham most weekends, Lamella is a diver and a cheat. The fact that other clubs have wankers like this is no excuse, these twats need to be driven out of the game because they're killing it.

Not looking forward to playing your lot because you're well versed in the art of Premier League tactics. Horrible to watch, and usually leaves a sour taste.

You my friend are talking out of your Backside.
But if your knowledge of Soccer is from the states then it's only to be expected.

Horrible to watch????? From what I've been reading that is something YOU are famous for.

I suppose it was always inevitable that there would be " One ". I came here to put a more balanced perspective of our upcoming semi final as I was surprised by the lack of respect shown from a lot of our fans, but if they have come across fans like yourself then I can see why.

99% of the fans on here seem very knowledgable and decent fans but you have let them down some what.

I came in peace and I will leave you in peace.

Typical 'started well but then starts getting lippy' visiting fan I see.

Probably time for you to peace off.

Just before you go, how did it feel when you finally won "noveltyIsland" ?

Don't take it too heart Lister, even disagreements about certain players and their characteristics can be done cordially. You seem like a decent sort and comments on a web page can sometimes come through as argumentative when they weren't intended that way. However, I agree that if one fan calls a player from another club a cheat it is going to escalate into a row.

It should be a great couple of games, I'm expecting absolutely nothing from either of them. We are in League One for a reason and that reason is we are shit.
We've played well against a number of higher ranked teams than us but this really is a step too far I think.

We'll get criticised on TV by the pundits at White Hart Lane because we have decided to dig in and work hard and try to frustrate Spurs rather than take on superior players in a open football match. Any other lower League club would get praise if they managed to get an ugly result down at your place, but not us, we'll get slagged to bits for it, just like we did at Fulham and West Ham.

So, good luck in the pursuit of a Champions League place but in the Semi Final we obviously hope that the best team doesn't win :)

Only a matter of time before it turned nasty (well, nastyish anyway). Shame as it was a decent and informative read before a predictable individual shat upon the discussion.

As I said to you last week - your scouts will learn nothing from our league games.

As is the norm, a home team is supposed to take the initiative, which we tried, but failed again. Our manager is still trying to work out our best team for the league games where we are supposed to be dominant - it isn't working.

Assuming everyone is available for the 1st leg at WHL, I could tell you the team now - give or take 1 player.

Could do with Kane and Erikson picking up a few bookings over Xmas!
Same with Lamela - lovely goal he scored and for certain, Spurs are finding good opportunities from about 20 yards which we will have to watch out for.

Just for the record, our Keeper Howard started at Arsenal and he IS going to have a blinder.............written in the stars.

Ey up Lister , as far as I'm concerned you can carry on as I was enjoying your input. I'm glad you made the journey up for the 6-0 game too as my Spurs mates deny any knowledge of it

Seriously, carry on, if like to know your view on Spurs and their form as the tie approaches.

Hi. First saw SUFC vs THFC at Bramall Lane in 1978 (2-2). Looking forward to the two Semi's.

Firstly, anyone that says Seven Sisters to WHL is '15 mins' walk is either lying or is actualy Usain Bolt. It is a 'good' 25 mins!

The two main ways to get from central London to WHL are

1) Liverpool Street to WHL (overground) - 22 mins & a 5 min walk or Liverpool St to Northumberland Park (15 mins & 10 min walk).

2) Victoria Line on the underground to Seven Sisters & then either a bus (usually one ending in a 9 like the 149) or overground 2 stops from Seven Sisters to WHL (4-5 mins). Seven Sisters underground & overground are in the same location. You dont need to exit one to get to the other.

You know you ought to let us lose to Chelsea in the final than put yourselves through it. You know it makes sense… :)

Good conversation thus far. I wouldn't leave just because one twat starts getting lippy. He (if it's who I think it is) has been banned multiple times before anyway. I doubt it'll be long before he gets banned again.

We are 1~1 vs the rent boys at Wembley.
If we are lucky enough to meet them on the final I hope we snivel the luckiest win ever.

The only proper away friendly pub is the Irish Centre in Pretoria Road opposite WHL station.

Lots of Spurs fans know you won't be a push over so rest assured we will be treating you with the respect you deserve.
No, no, no we don't want respect! We want your team to turn up and think that's all they have to do..... Twice. That's all. It's SO easy - just do it.

Hi. First saw SUFC vs THFC at Bramall Lane in 1978 (2-2)

That was a good match. After a goalless 1st half, John Duncan and Peter Taylor put Spurs 2 up before Keith Edwards and Gary Hamson levelled matters.

My first Blades v Spurs match was a 2-2 draw too but in Sept 1971 (attendance was over 40,000 as Blades were top of the league that time). Billy Dearden gave us the lead after a mix-up between Mike England and Pat Jennings. Martin Peters equalised in injury time of the 1st half (ref blew for half time immediately after), Stewart Scullion headed in a Geoff Salmons cross to restore our lead but in injury time (again!) Alan Gilzean headed in a Martin Chivers long throw. footage can be seen below (between 2.07 and 3.07)

My flatmate is a Spurs fan so I've watched a lot of their games over the past year.

As a football club, there are a lot of parallels between us- you guys are almost as frustrating to watch and support due to the lack of consistency and the ability to lose games you should win, and win games you should lose. Also, throw in a bunch of non-scoring attacking players. But despite never appearing to play as well as they should, and despite feeling like they are having below average seasons, both teams are in good positions right now and there shouldn't be too much to complain about!

I hope you are proud of yourself over there in the USA. Congratulations on injecting spite into what was previously an interesting and friendly thread.

Oh FFS quit whining. You sound like a teenage girl who just got dumped. I'm proud that I had the bollocks to point out a player who I see as a cheat, if you have a problem with that then why not discuss it with your new friend

Looks like you need a new avatar too, you hardly come across as a budding revolutionary.
