Salmons Stoke bound, according to his latest ramblings. Gutted if true.I'm waiting for Biggsy to let us know what's happening.
Unless no bids come in for him realistically we aren't getting him
You could lose Cannon or Burrows or Peck and still have a similarly effective team.i think weve got saleable assets to enable us to get souttar and a big physical centre back has to be our number 1 priority in this window and if were sticking with a back 4 i think we can allow burrows to go to west ham
Whilst I agree with the sentiment there's nothing the owners can do. We're hamstrung by the new Squad Cost Rules until we make some sizeable sales. There’s almost zero chance it happens, but it would be great if COH show some ambition and back Wilder with this signing. It’s obvious most fans aren’t happy with the way the club is run currently, and it would give us all some much needed optimism for the new season.
agreed i think tanganga would be so much better with souttar alongside him looked a nervous wreck partnering mcguinness although it does look like were trying to ship him out and to be honest it wouldnt concern me much if we sold all 3 that you have mentioned and personally i would love to see us bring another striker in dont think either cannon or campbell will get enough goals to get us in top 6You could lose Cannon or Burrows or Peck and still have a similarly effective team.
You stick Souttar in there instead of say McGuinness and it’s a completely different quality proposition.
Top 8 maybe?agreed i think tanganga would be so much better with souttar alongside him looked a nervous wreck partnering mcguinness although it does look like were trying to ship him out and to be honest it wouldnt concern me much if we sold all 3 that you have mentioned and personally i would love to see us bring another striker in dont think either cannon or campbell will get enough goals to get us in top 6
oh yeah forgot about that all a bit pessimistic as usual on this site but i think we will kick off with a squad well capable of making top 8Top 8 maybe?![]()
All I can say is, that in our present financial position if we put all our funds into a player who has played maybe 10 games since recovering from an awful injury its a massive gamble. so its a no from me
All very sensible suggestions. Unfortunately that requires the recruitment team to be innovative and pro active. They have shown precious little of that in recent times. A swap would be more realistic but depends on Martin and whether he is attracted to Cannon. Leicester are in financial trouble and may prefer a straight cash deal. For the money they are asking it is a huge gamble on a player who has a poor injury record and will continue to risk further injury with long haul flights to Australia.Whilst you can’t guarantee it would be accepted, one thing we do have are players.
What about Cannon for Souttar? Direct swap. The latter is more use to us and the former to them.
What about McGuinness and a couple of million for Souttar?
Here’s one for you; they take McGuinness and Cannon. We take Choudhury and Souttar.
We then sell Peck for a decent fee and have Riedewald and Choudhury as more defensive options and we have more forward looking options in Arblaster and Rothwell. We then use Cannon’s absence to bring on Oné, knowing we still have Campbell.
What if we put less than half of the allowable input ? I would go with that as long as the rest is also spent in this window or the next. All I can say is, that in our present financial position if we put all our funds into a player who has played maybe 10 games since recovering from an awful injury its a massive gamble. so its a no from me
Highly likely Souttar will be a Blade before end of the transfer window.
Positive mental attitude.Based on?
