I agree with you in that nobody is paying that (at least for a centre back), but it'd have nothing to do with the injuries. The ones he's had are the sorts that aren't in any way predictive of future problems. This whole "injury prone" thing is only really an issue if someone redoes the same problem in some sort of strain/pull situation, which is not applicable here, and is typically mostly seen when clubs try to rush someone back. Which, as Souttar is not our player, ought not to be a problem

He means that he was never injured up until his career ender.
JOC was always available until he did his knee in Covid. We played him too early in his rehabilitation and he ended up having to retire.

O'Connell played every game for a couple of seasons and looked indestructible. He then got a career ending injury unfortunately and never played again.

The point I was trying to make (badly), was lets try to find the next O'Connell, and hope that he is as reliable as Jack was, and hope he doesn't suffer the same fate.

Souttar has had a couple of bad injuries already, Granted, he might never get another one, but logic says that unfortunately this might be a trend.

That's why I'd avoid I'm afraid.

If we sign Soutts and he stays injury free we'll easily finish top six. All the talk about strikers being game changers may be accurate but when you look at our defensive record with this lad playing who knows, Tanganga may even start to look like he's worth what we paid for him.

Tanganga excelled for Millwall arguably only because he had a dominant 6 foot 5 CH alongside him. Stating the obvious I suppose but he needs similar help here.

Other than to save some wages I have no idea what was in it for Leicester to loan Souttar to us.
Its ok us going for loans, but if there's nothing in it for the players club, they'll just sell or keep hold of them instead.

Its like we have a list of players we want, we only want them on loan, and we've not bothered to check if they're even available for loans or not.
