So we dont need to sell to sign him but if we do sign him we need to sell this summer before seasons starts or sell in january.

We were losing around £15m a year before player transfers last accounts. I’m assuming the rush to sell Brooks was to balance the books for last financial year but it would suggest we’ll need some more big sales before we can even start thinking about big fees.

If we do sign Souttar (and I’m not convinced we will) it’ll be towards the end of the window and we’ll have had to sell some big earners like Hamer, O’Hare, Campbell of Cannon. I haven’t seen any interest for these players yet.

Depends on his salary and our budget. I’m sure I’ve read previously he’s on a massive contract for an EFL team (and Leicester reportedly didn’t have relegation clauses in their contracts).

Just a loan would be better and save the cash to look for a better/younger prospect without the injured body, we have to start finding long term injury free players
