If Stoke beat us to him, then the board have no ambition to get promoted. Probably likely too given Stoke seem to have a bit of dosh.

Many ways this can go, both Stoke and Wrexham will blow us out of the water for fees etc especially with these new rules.
Or Souttar would push his way to try and get back to Blades after seemingly loving it at the Lane, for then to Stoke and Wrexham blow us out of the water.
Or we sign John Souttar
Stoke have offered £8mSo, unless we get blown out of the water we have a chance then?
YesTaking account of his injury record is he worth £8 - £10m?

Genuine question, has he actually got a bad injury record or did he just have an unfortunate accident which happened to be his Achilles?Taking account of his injury record is he worth £8 - £10m?
But surely you understand that the only major injury he's had is that? If you go off that we should've never signed O'Hare or Cooper and theirs were worse.Out for a year with ACL and Achilles tendon which required multiple surgeries. It could be said that he will be stronger after the surgery, but it is a lot of money to spend and I assume a large proportion of our budget on a player with recent injury records especially when Leicester only paid £6m for him from Stoke .
Whilst a good player, in my opinion if we cannot get him for £5m we look elsewhere, he is a good player when things are happening in front of him but not quick or nimble enough to justify a higher fee. But it’s all about opinions
