Did anyone out there notice that the south stand has been re named yet again , its now called the GAC stand, the company were crystal palaces shirt sponsors last season.

They are our new global sponsors :)

Was the un-named company McCabe mentioned at the Q&A.

GAC are still the main sponsors of palace , and employ 8,000 people worldwide. their head office is in saudi arabia (Dubai)

The new name for the south stand should be, wait for it....The South stand

I have read the press release on the official site but it does not say what SUFC will get out of the deal.

Are GAC putting any hard cash into the Club?

You may also notice at the next game the grounds lads and various staff in the black tracksuits, they can't wear the visit malta tops, as they are the same as the players. Apparently Mccabes son couldn't tell the difference between players and staff.

I thought my other half was joking, but seems not.

I want to sit in the Gok Stand :D

It'd be all fabulous with ribbons adorning the seats and little corsages on the pie cases :D

Dubai firm signs deal with SUFC

English football club Sheffield United Football Club has signed a sponsorship deal with Dubai-based GAC Group, a provider of shipping, logistics and marine related services.

The deal, which will see the company’s name featured on the South Stand at the club’s Bramall Lane stadium, was agreed with a view to include Sheffield United’s international family of clubs in China, Hungary and Australia.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Interesting, lots of cash out there maybe this is a "foot in the door" which may lead to bigger things.
