Soumare, he makes me happy

Should have VERY OBVIOUSLY come on instead of the manager's son in law

But I guess he needed to make a point

Why do you want to do this shit? Arblaster is a Blade through and through, an academy product with a huge future.

The son-in-law carry-on is awful.

Just can't get my head around a Blade playing that card against one of our own.

We've just beaten Wednesday and relegated them but that's your focus?

Wilder made what in my view was a sentimental substitution and I am merely stating this view on an appropriate thread. Sorry

I thought Soumare looked good when he came on but hes probably lost a bit of trust after the Charlton sending off. We know Blaster isnt going to be to top form until next season. In the absence of Rothwell, Phillips and Davies....and I assume Jairo as he wasnt on the bench ...CW has some big decisions to make.

I personally would go with Soumare on Weds v Coventry as I can see us having to do a lot of running in that match. Id then start Blaster v QPR on Saturday. We need to pray thst Peck is up to 3 games in 6 days as we dont have many other options.

Soumare looked good - be starts his move great but sometimes its his end product - he’ll win the ball make a nice little run then miss place the pass for example . He keeps the ball too long sometimes and needs to learn to pass to someone before he loses it. He does execute the odd time a good pass, shot etc but needs to be more consistent with his end product imo

There's a player in Soumare but needs a lot of work putting into him. With some development and confidence, he'd be a real player at this level.

When Soumare came on as sub a few of us were saying we were worried.

Fair enough, he’s shown flashes of quality but generally struggled….its as though he can’t adjust to the speed and physicality of the English game. However he was excellent after coming on as sub…..showed great composure when it was required and he nicked the ball a few times.

We’ve all agreed he’s generally not good enough but you do feel there’s a quality player in there.
Glad I’m not making the decision whether to keep him or not for next season because he’s never average.
He’s nearly always poor with 15 minute spells of being really good/ impressive.

If the price was right I'd sign him as he could potentially become our next 'Souza' type midfielder. However, I think the fee is around 8m if we were promoted. He's nowhere near worth that atm.

I think the best we've seen of him was the 1st half against West Brom in my opinion. Thought he was running the show and the only player that looked decent for us that game.

No way was that a sentimental substitute, Wilder did what he thought best for the team for the result.
Wilder smashed Wednesday 11 v 11 and 10 v 10. He also handled substitutions very well. Everyone who came on did well. For game management Wilder gets 9/10 to say otherwise is just historical bias because you’ve made your mind up you don’t like him.
Whereas I hope to see pictures of him singing whilst stood on a table in his pub tonight.

Soumare shouldn’t start again

He’s got a lot of potential and all the physical attributes to be an absolutely top drawer box to box midfielder at championship level.

As his buy option is €8m I can’t see him ever getting the opportunity to realise it with us.

He’s a 2-3 year long project and we need here and now for €8 mil.

Look at how long Brooks and Seriki have taken to really get to grips with the championship.

Shame, cos I actually like Soumare.

Is it a case of finding the right partner for him, in the right midfield and then take it from there.
We do have a lot of midfielders and due to injury, suspension etc I would be surprised if he has played with the same partner more than one game in a row.
This could be said of all our midfielders

The 8m euros obligation to buy is only if we are promoted. If we aren't promoted then we can make an offer. At the right price and wages I hope we can get him. I think he has the potential to be a decent player and will improve each season.

But what would we pay for a development midfielder in the championship after parachute payments dry up in the summer?

A million? Two?

Are they realistically going to accept that, after valuing him at €8m last summer?

I’d like to keep him, just seems unlikely and not a priority.

Surprisingly Tom Davies is meant to be back at the weekend.

Thought arblaster did well when he came on
Don’t feel a need to pick on Arblaster or Soumaré. Why do we need a scapegoat?

Good management by Wilder to bring him on. After the comment by Danny Hall, it was nice to see him given support.

He now has 2 more derby wins than Barry Bannan!
