I'm sorry but I can't! We were dire against an extremely dire team!

Questions have to be answered now as to why as a team who state to have eyes set solely on promotion, go into a game against a mediocre middle of the road team paying for a draw!

It was dismal and we very rarely bothered them.It was all wrong! The tactics and the way we set up to play, the amount of respect we gave a poor team, the managers failing to see what we could see in the stands and failing to act on it until 10-15 minutes from time.

This little cup run has taken a lot of pressure off our manager this year! In the league we are not doing the business and it needs addressing it is as simple as that. I have given Mr Clough my full backing up until tonight when I watch his post match interview on my phone on the way home and see him blaming howard and the pissing pitch and then stating that we should have taken a 0-0 draw home with us as though he would have been happy with that. The bloke has given up on automatics and is happy to play for draws! It's not good enough and he needs to sort it out before the patience runs dry!

And before anyone says I'm over reacting. I paid over £100 to go and have that shite served up to me today. It's easy to sugar coat it and dream of better days from the comfort of your own home but when you waste your money it feels like a massive insult.

Unless some sort of drastic tactical change happens at Sheffield United we might as well write this season off as of today because there is nothing at the minute. Negative tactics, Negative Formations, No passion, No abmbition!.......Attacking players signed in the transfer window only to go and play negatively and for the draw! Ridiculous.

I've sat on the fence for too long this season, enough is enough. It's a load of bollocks!

Rant over.

Clough almost doesn't seen arsed about the league and cannot get the team firing against lower teams.

Some of the comments he has made this season regarding league games has INFURIATED me.

Highpeakblade , sums it all up for me , and for all the travelling supporters the club owes us all an apology.

I am a big advocate of Mr Clough , but is the old school manager destroying confidence with the players. It appears the tactics and
selection decisions are totally wrong . The players to me look short on confidence and at a low ebb , with no self belief . Is Mr Clough always looking for faults in players , and continually criticising them , that they are scared to make there own judgements and individual decisions.

We ain't got a team of poor players , as we have seem previously at the lane , but things are not right , and if we do not get a result in the next home match , i can see the crowd turning against the players and manager to vent there frustrations.

We do need a couple of players in the loan window , but if we get them , will they be the answer . Any player now coming out on loan , is because they cannot make the first team at there club , coming back from injury and need game time , or low on confidence.

You say negative tactics and formation - i don't think there is any planning , and the players don't really understand the managers instructions or can carry them out , because no consistency of team selections is creating inconsistency on the field of play.

I have still got a gut feeling we will hit the playoffs , but things have got to change , with the managers approach and thinking methods of how we approach games. If we do not achieve the playoffs , then this season as been a massive failure , and someone has to be accountable , and thats the manager .

Forget about the long term plan and stability infrastructure , the management team are failing on all fronts , up to press in tactics , man management , recruitment , and leadership.

This debacle started pre-season and lets hope it doesn't end the same way in May.

Lord Bos of Eckington. This is going to sound like a very odd request, but is there any chance you could stop using the phrase "Mr. Clough" ?

It really grates, and always sounds fawning and sycophantic - we don't talk abour Mr Baxter, Mr Basham or Mr Higdon, and I don't see any reason why the manager deserves such special deferential treatment. Nigel, NC or - frankly, given the results he's supervising at the moment - just plain Clough would be a better way to refer to him.

Nice one . Its out of respect , but that is now waining a little. . The results do show perhaps he does not deserve the title of Mr.

Or we could use
Twat 1
Twat 2
Twat 3
Twat 4 etc.

And more the entire thing to the Twat thread?

I think we have more pressing things on everybody's mind at the mo , like winning , settled side , CF , CH and after seeing the match yesterday , value for money , and enjoying watching the blades and not coming home pissed off .

I can't get my head around Clough being happy with a draw when we need to be winning games. If his vibe runs through to the players then they have as good as lost the match.
When are we going to see this team go for goals from the kick off? Firsthalves are a waste of space, may as well stay in the boozer 'til half time, we won't be seeing any goals.

We need a Kegan type to play fearless attacking minded footbal somone who isn't scared to risk conceding two to try and score three.

Nigel Cloughs brand of football will lead to a two thirds empty stadium next season.

It's a pity there's not an appropriate anagram for this manager, we know where we were with Warnock, plain old Colin or Mr Wanker would do :)

So why are you a "big advocate" for him?

bladeinbolton , because the guy appears honest , has integrity , well respected in the game , and changing managers will do us no good at all . We stick with what we have got imo . Ok he has made mistakes , like we all do , but we are actually a nats away from being a good side . We have to back him like the board is doing .

In saying that yesterday was unacceptable.

Even the suggestion of getting rid of Clough leaves me dumbfounded. Who could we possibly attract? A Simon Grayson type? The performance yesterday utterly depresses me but changing the manager is not the answer. In real terms it doesn't really alter our best case scenario of finishing in the top 6 hopefully with a degree of form. This was our best hope a number of weeks ago and still remains our best hope. Nobody really believed Clough when he said a couple of weeks back that we've not given up on the top two did they?

football is not just about kicking a ball . It also has a lot to do with phycology ,self confidence and belief .It will get sorted , and we will reach the play offs imo . Last season we did look down and out at Crewe , maybe yesterdays game will be another turning point .We will soon find out.:)

Out of interest, whats your thoughts on the strength and conditioning of the squad. Something of note happened pre-season that caught my notice, which i found interesting.

Near 24 hours later I am still fuming however I have had a rather fruitful conversation with Mr Baki which is ongoing so hope to share some thoughts from that with you all.
Why are some of our fans asking questions to Baki and Phipps???? Fed up of these "know alls"

HPB - brilliantly put. What a waste of space yesterday was, losing against a really really shit team in gillingham.

The 'take a point back home on the bus' comment really really grated. Against gillingham. Unbelievable.

Just interested because the rest of your post would suggest that you wouldn't be an advocate. As for mistakes, he appears to be behaving exactly in the same way as some Derby County supporters described; there's nothing wrong with making mistakes (i've made plenty) but the key thing is you should learn from them. The evidence suggests that Clough doesn't. I hope i'm wrong.

Erm because I have built a friendship with Mr Baki and he has invited me to be his guest at his next game.

Well ...... if this is the case ...... would you PLEASE ask him why it has been 3 years since we've had a decent striker at this Club and we STILL fuc**ng well don't have one and it is a fu**ing EMBARRASMENT !!!!

Sorry for the swearing and shouting but I've bloody well had enough of the incompetence down at BDTBL.

I dont have time for so called fans who put pressure on Baki and Phipps to put pressure on the management. I hate it when people (Chairman, directors or fans) are trying to interfere with the manager's plans

I would love to interfere with Cloughies plans ....... I would like to buy a fu**ing striker who can score goals instead of continuing with this bloody stupid 4- 6 - 0 system that DOES NOT WORK IN THIS SHITTY AGRICULTURAL DIVISION !!

Sorry for shouting .... it wasn't at you ....

Who's interfering? Do you know something I don't know then? Seems to me your just making assumptions.
