Something positive for Monday morning

I live by the adage that "you cannot change history, but you can learn from it", hence ......

This morning we have a better home record than Wednesday, and we have a better away record.

We have scored more goals than them, and conceded less, so we have a far superior goal difference.

We are second, with games in hand and / or points in hand over the teams competing with us for the second promotion spot.

Get over yesterday, it was just ONE result, i.e 3 points. There are 15 more games to go, i.e. a third of the season.

The biggest thing for the piggies is that we're pissed off. Id been winding up pigs on Facebook before the game and as I couldn't get a signal to post to facebook in the ground and in champs after I was a while posting, which got me a load of abuse. I then posted that they did well and deserved the win on their second half. It winds them up when u don't seem bothered.

Of course it pisses me off, but I don't show the piggies that.

At the end of the day, they still have megson in charge. Poor feckers!

Livivng in Huddersfield as I do, I have this morning been chatting to the town fans.

They hate the Scum as much as we do and still have to play them at Home. They have Stevenage away on Tuesday night and are not confident.

They believe we are the best side in the league and will go up automatically, time will tell on that, but every single whinger would have taken where we are at the start of the season, so we lost, its 3 points thats all, lets look forward to Wednesday night.

It's not Wednesday who are the threat. It's Huddersfield.

But Wednesday would become a very big threat (in the play offs) if Huddersfield were to overtake us.

I know, which is why I immediately edited the post. Unfortunately you were already replying. I forgot to add on three points to Huddersfield's total!

What you say is true. Our position is better now than it would have been had we lost to Huddersfield but beaten Wednesday. But I think most of us would feel far better if it was Wednesday we'd beaten. And our position would feel much better than it does now because of the psychologiocal boost that a win over them would have given us.

I kind of see your point, but a win on Wednesday (a game that, irrespective of what happens on tuesday, we will go into in 2nd, unlike had we lost to hudds and beaten Weds, when we could theoretically have been 3rd), and the psycological aspect goes away again IMO...

5 points ahead of Pigs with a game in hand
7 points ahead of Hudd, same no of games


Worst Case after Wednesday:
2nd
1 point ahead of Hudd, same no of games
2 points ahead of Pigs with a game in hand
