Something about Board v Wilder

I think it was last season, Wilder left before the Leicester game this season, the poster claims "Wilder was trying to address the situation privately".

How can he address it privately, if he's not even in charge of the game?
The Leicester game in which Vardy scored a last minute winner

Going along wih the OP for a bit (I've no idea if it's true or not), but I wonder if there was a split in the dressing room with Wilder/Knill i.e. it's not working any more gaffa, we're gonna have to change the shape??

I think rumours have been going round since back in the League 1 season that "Knill was the brains of the formation/style" and Wilder was just the one taking credit.

Yes that's how I understood it too. It would certainly explain a lot of the performances this season, it's been like we've got zero belief.

The weirder situation is that Knill hasn't been involved in any of our games since Leicester away, but we're still playing the "system"

Thinking back, this was an odd statement for Knill to make.

Wilder wasn't in charge for that game, though.
I know that, Knill was there though, his mate had left the day before someone had been put in charge above him. The team had been hammered 5-0, Billy’s interview was unlike him & obviously things were at the lowest

Can’t believe you’re not questioning that Egan is on 50k week , is he fck

The same people said our highest earner was 20k a week.

Prince debunked that and said our highest earner is over 50k a week in his Youtube video, never mentioned any names, though.

Fairly specific about Egan, Knill etc but when it comes to fall outs etc, no names.

Seems a rehash of an old post on here. Who knows.

No way mate we have three 20 million players and a 4 million player is highest paid ?

Egan won’t be on 50k a week and fleck and Norwood will be a couple of the lower end earners lol ... and there was pictures of the team training on the weekend wilder left !

I call bs

Agreed mate - for the OP to state that Egan is the highest paid player at the club renders all the rest bollocks.

Jags is top earner, followed by Berge. Egan is one of a few in that £20k per week range.

Was it ever just rumours? I thought it was common knowledge the Knill was the tactical brains of the operation, that’s just the way he’s always been. Dealing with the players on a day to day basis is what Wilder was good at

Price paid for a player doesn't mean they would want higher wages. If you watch the blades way podcast, you will see the direction Wilder went, in paying more money upfront, but less wages overall.

Egan was brought in during our first season in the CH, he will have had a wage rise upon Promotion, then potentially another wage rise upon surviving relegation. Its entirely plausible that at the time of us giving him his first contract, we believed PL to be 3-4 season off so wasn't as worried by the PL wage rise. You chuck in another 25% wage rise upon surviving relegation, and 25-30k suddenly shoots up to 40-50k in a short period of time.

Neyow

Also about members of staff making their own way home after Leicester, and players not turning up to training for 2 days
If any of this is true then the famous team spirit Wilder always quoted was gone and in that case Wilder should have gone as well not hang about causing a bigger rift.
Some pig having a good laugh end of !!

I don’t know how much he is on but it wouldn’t surprise me to find out that he’s on at least 50k. I’ve commented previously about a couple of our players refusing to sign contracts unless they were given what they were after. Egan was told what Everton would pay him shortly before he signed his new deal with us.

If Jagielka is in our top 10 earners I'll bare my arse on the town hall steps.

He signed a new contract last summer.

I read somewhere over the last few months that when the Prince’s people went to see CW and Knill before they came to the Lane, that they were impressed with Knill but much less so with CW.
