I'm a fan of Chengdu Blades. I want to find all the players or coaches who have worked for both Chengdu Blades FC and Sheffield United.
Players:
1. Petr Kachuro
2. Dramane Kamate
3. Lamine Kourouma Mohamed
4. Moussa Bamba
5. Sékou Souaré
6. Tie Li
7. Jihai Sun

Coaches:
1. Don O'riordon
2. Micheal Watts
3. Mark Anthony Laws
4. Jordan Milsom

Anyone else?

I recall Li Tie, though he was injured all the time, Sun Jihai and Katchuro, but the Ivorians I never even remember any getting a mention.

There is a suggestion United signed them and they couldn't play due to visa reasons so placed them in China or Hungary.

Anyone?

That's it! Strictly speaking, the Ivorians, as well as Mark Laws, were not regular employees of Sheffield United. But we Chinese regarded them as coming from Sheffield United.

So what happened to chengdou blades? Did they just cease to exist? Did they change name?

Always wish I’d bought a Chengdu Blades kit when we were selling them around 06/07.

To be fair. McCabe was ahead of the game here. The Chinese superleague never took off though.

Chengdu Blades FC disbanded after the 2014 season. China lacked football soil, and few soccer-loving entrepreneurs invested money in football clubs. Sometimes the government would look for companies to invest in football, but entrepreneurs were all for profit, they would talk to the government about profit first, but the government's promises were often not fulfilled. Gradually no one invested in football.
In 2018, a new team called Chengdu Better City established. Its new name is Chengdu Rongcheng. They were 5th in 2022 Chinese super league.

I have the yellow away shirt, bought it when they were selling them off cheap in the club shop for about £5! Used to wear it for 5 a side.

Didn't 'the Chinese Alan Shearer' play for both clubs? Hao Haidong.

He didn't play for Chengdu. His name is a forbidden word in China nowadays. All the reports related to Haidong were removed.
Bizarre, I wasn't aware that he was an enemy of the state! Just read that he now lives in Malaga.
