Some thoughts on last night

newsflash Munxy. We are were playing a 4th division side. Losing with our 'nice football' in 3 of the last 4 just happens to be against the best 2 teams we have faced so far and arguably the best 2 teams in the league. But we beat the mighty Rov-ram with some hoof. Nice. Wilson out (Blackwell in).
Does anyone want Blackwell style hoof? Does anyone want Robson style non football in our own half?

I'd be happy to play like either Brighton or Udders, if it brings success. I'd have though you could have computed more than 2 options, Ollie. But as it seems we're ruling out a front man with either pace or pysical presence (as that would turn is into hoof merchats, it seems), we're fast running out of options.

I watched from the main stand. I thought porter took his goal well. It amused me when my miller mate later asked me if porter was really quick or their man really slow.

I thought the first half was quite boring. A real friendly kind of atmosphere in a stadium devoid of any football atmosphere. The second half was more enjoyable but it still didn't feel like much was at stake for me. Rotherham looked more of a unit and well drilled than we did. They had some nice passages of play. They harried KMac out of his stride and he didn't seem to have an answer which is something he will have to learn (he is very young still let's not forget).

We won and I'm not going to be too down. Let's face it how many games do we win comfortably in great style, ever? It's the nature of football. Next round achieved. Huddersfield out so let's look forward.

Evans scored a good goal. He's never gonna be the prem player some predict though and the sitter at the end was very poor and should be a piece of cake for any striker against an old biddie in net.

Highlight for me was having a wee next to a chuckle brother at half time and the fantastic dark haired bird who led the boxers out for the half time draw. She was outstanding up close in hospitality.

Everyone I know wants us to win every game. Don't be confused, because that's what it's all about, isn't it?

I think we've looked OK at times this year, but clearly lack pace and power up front. Most seem to agree. Apparantly, thats a cry for "hoof".

Totally against "hoof" but don't you think alco that if we haven't got power and pace up front, then need a contingency plan B for when plan A. ain't working.utb

Don't go Questioning Wilson in any way. It's the same as applying fro a season ticket at Stoke. And their fans are desperate to get Cotterill back....:D
