They don't have to.

At the moment our goal difference is 10 better than their goal difference. They have 4 matches left. We have 3. If they win all 4 their goal difference goes up by at least 4. If we lose all 3 our goal difference goes down by at least 3. We have the added advantage of having scored more goals than them, but even allowing for that they only need to win their games 2-0. But that could be less if we suffer a heavy defeat in any of our remaining games.

Fortunately, this is all hypothetical.

Surely, even we can't mess this up from here! We will not lose our 3 remaining games.

Obviously I don't want Bolton to win tomorrow, however clinching the title at BDTBL in a red-hot Yorkshire derby with one of the top teams in the league, in front of a full house, on the telly, massive pitch invasion at the end, well you can't get any better than that, can you? Compare that to me sitting on the sofa with Our Lass watching the result come in on Sky Sports News and I don't think there's any competition for the way I want it to happen.

I would like us to win the title on Monday at Bramall Lane. But on the other hand I trust our team to approach the game in exactly the same way regardless, and I would also like us to win the league by more than 10 points.

I would also like someone to beat Bolton to 2nd.

Initially I thought Bolton win.... but now I'm swinging towards an Oldham win.

Whatever happens, it doesn't really fucking matter too much does it?
