Ideally you want it to be sealing promotion in front of the cameras in the Yorkshire derby with Bradford. Sell out crowd, great atmosphere, telling their fans later on in the pub you hope they win the play-offs, that sort of thing. Then to clinch the title away at MK Plastics and have a big away day party. Then Chezzy at home is a parade for us.

What's more likely is promotion at Northampton, then the title over easter. Either way, I want to be there when it happens.

Brian Cox says that , (based on science alone , with no Easter resurrection theories) , our D Ream of upward mobility will come to pass at Vale Park and the summit will be achieved on TV v Bradfud.
This is because there is more chance of Keen Blade's steel reinforced erection rising in Uranus than there is of him ever visiting Stadium MK again , after the 2012 acute episode of deepening depression almost led to self-destruction , once the Pigs had scored in the last minute to secure 3 points.

Promotion could be achieved if we beat Millwall, depending on other results, and a strong possibility of happening when we slaughter Coventry. 13pts from the next 5 games (definitely achievable) will put us on 85. Who out of the pack will be able to match that? I'm more bothered about Fleetwood spoiling the Champions party.

Fings can only get berra.

Put this on a fortnight ago.
My thoughts are still Coventry match. There was a mixture of people mostly saying the vale or Bradford match.
With what's happened with the collapse of teams around us today, What's your thoughts now?

Win at Oldham 81 points

Lose against Milwall 81 points

Win against Coventry 84 points

Win at Northampton 87 points

Win at Port Vale 90 points (Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding!)

It's a Vale Park celebration by my reckoning...

And the local plod helping us celebrate, just like they helped to look after innocent blades last season
Any place but there :(

I beIieve that the next few weeks are going to be a bit of a non event, before the "Lord Mayors parade" so to speak. It's just a matter of ticking off the games until we are promoted. The nay sayers and doom mongers can grumble but let's get real, we just aren't going to blow this. Ten points clear of third place Fleetwood, with a better goal difference and whose winning run is faltering.
Bolton are nine points behind but with a much improved goal difference, second place is theirs to lose.

They may as well just award the trophy now so we can save a bit of money and the team can go on holiday

Said Bradford at home back if Feb BB

I reckon 86 points will be plenty this season.
Conservatively looking through the run of games we have from now on, I reckon we'll beat Bradford at home to be assured of promotion
*gulps hard and immediately re-considers his post*

I'm not so sure now though.
I have a feeling it might be before then.
I reckon Fleetwood will be in the doldrums for another 2 or 3 games and Bolton's mini run of wins will falter in the next 2 or 3
If we win at Oldham next week, and Bolton fail to win at Oxford on Tuesday and both Bolton and Fleetwood fail to win their away games next Sat, that would put us at least 10 points clear with 7 games to go

If all that unfolds, and we beat Coventry (reasonable to presume?) it's looking like Northampton, or more likely Port Vale away :(

BUT, I'm going to stick my neck out and say it will be against Bradford, if we get a draw/win that day.

I just hope we don't lose to Bradford and then go up the next day by virtue of Bolton failing to beat Bury at home the next day.

Promotion against Northampton, Title against Bradford, Party at MK Dons, perfect

The history of football is full of coincidences and ironies:
We will be officially promoted at MK,it just has too be !!
Pigs will lose on penalties to Huddersfield in play-off final,it just has too be !!
Please for once will the footballing Gods be kind to me.

Win tonight and there is a remote possibility that we could get promoted next Wednesday.
P day - 8?
Just imagine that. Come on Blades!
