Liverpool won't collect any more points the way they have today, this season.
Beat ourselves.

'Points on the board is all that matters'

Garbage, utter garbage. Its about the performance, the passion & the enjoyment, & but for one error that was utterly enjoyable.

If all you want is points I believe 'Strictly' is back on TV, sounds right up your street!

Brilliant of Liverpool to not have a shot on target until our keeper was asleep..

They had 4 shots on target didn't they? One of those was Hendo redeeming himself by pulling off a world class save to keep us in the game.

You see, I agree with the sentiment, but on the other hand it’s this that makes us “the plucky underdogs”...”the tough luck story”...little old Sheffield United.

Not a dig, and yes I’m proud of the effort and determination but if we are seriously going to compete with these teams regularly and consistently we can’t afford such basic errors, and missing chances, and just say we are proud. Effort and determination is a basic.
It’s hard for me to describe what I mean, but just feel it gives the media and all those arrogant plastic supporters of the big clubs the platitudes and “hard lucks” they love to peddle out from their position of aloofness.

Maybe, just maybe we will require a goalscorer in January to survive.

I know exactly where you are coming from, it feels a very small time mentality to be proud after a defeat.

We’re not some League Two club losing but getting some sort of moral victory in the cup, we’re in the same division. Norwich beat Man City the other week let’s not forget.

There are definitely positives and losing at home to Liverpool won’t see us relegated. But that’s 3 home defeats on the bounce now and there are definite areas for improvement.

Every one of our lads gave it 120% against the European champions, against a team who now are unbeaten in the league for 16 in a row. Contrast that with where we’ve come from then it offers a different perspective on today.

A loss today doesn’t matter because we showed heart, grit and an immense work ethic. I’m so proud of everyone one of our lads and anyone who isn’t doesn’t deserve to call the Blades their club.

We’ve been waiting years for this moment, a chance for redemption and a chance to respond to years of hurt and pain. I’m proud to be a Blade this afternoon and you should be too.
I'm inclined to agree with the sentiment, but i think we were probably a few better decisions away from beating them. Today we were unlucky. Not sure that Pride is the word i'd use...

Draw would've been fairer really and i think its a point dropped if i am honest.

I used to fear big games as it seemed we always bottled it, but under Wilder i don't think we have bottled any game.

I think today is a realisation that we're good enough to compete with sides like Liverpool and we shouldn't fear anyone in this league. Each game we're growing and the players realise that they belong here

To be fair, that did look a penalty for them. Gotta see a better replay, but it looked like it to me.
Fortunate for us that he had already played the ball across the box before he was clipped (if he was!)
As Billy said, if he had been dribbling toward goal with the ball, certainly a pen.

That performance was more than effort n passion
We had two wing backs who are as good as anything in this division
We had three centre backs who win the ball and play it out as well as overloading areas
We had a free transfer midfielder Scottish lad who other than that Dutch centre half was sublime
Yes it was another error but I believe it’s the learning curve
We have in Mousset a potential star up front who should now be ready to start a game he’s Billy with legs
We set up perfect today it was a performance that at times had technique and skill any neutral would be agreeing a top premiership side playing a decent premiership side

I'm reliably informed that you can get it for free! Although after getting over prostate cancer last year I'm not even sure even that will be much use for me!!;)

It’s hard to reply to that apart from to say Chuffing pleased for you mate getting over prostate cancer.

The most gutted I have been walking out of a game for a long long time.

Great performance but we missed a chance to take points off a below par Liverpool. We have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot.

I think most of the Liverpool fans attending thought they were going to walk straight through us and end up 5-0 or something like that. As the game wore on they became quieter and quieter, and on occasions, as we attacked their goal, a quick glance at the away end saw some of their fans with hands on mouths, or staring down at the floor, as if scared to look.

We gave them a real game, and 0-0 would have been an acceptable result to both teams.

This is a Liverpool team that beat Barcelona 4-0 not that long ago with almost the same starting XI

A team that has won 15/16 league games in a row and has not lost for 25 games.

Let’s see how Leicester and Man Utd deal with them next up....

Dem Blades!!!
