Here’s me thinking we had come out of the transfer window unscathed but no, apparently we had the lunacy to agree a recall clause in Kyle Walker’s loan. So that’s Walker and Kilgallon out – Yeates and two loanees in. So lets see what’s left;

Mark Bunn – Returning to Blackburn at the end of the season
Paddy Kenny – Banned
Ian Bennett – Ancient

Derek Geary – Back after a long long lay off
Nyron Nosworthy – Returning to Sunderland at the end of the season
Chris Morgan – Peaking
Jonathan Fortune – Crock
Marcel Seip – Injured/ Probably returning to Plymouth at the end of the season
Toni Kallio – Returning to Fulham at the end of the season
Gary Naysmith – If he doesn’t retire soon he will be moved on
Andy Taylor – Crap
Jordan Stewart – Seldom plays

Ryan France – Why?
Mark Yeates – Be nice if we got to see him
Jamie Ward – Our best remaining player, will probably sell him soon
James Harper – Will leave on a free at the end of the season
Nick Montgomery – God bless him but soon we will have to rely on him. Perish the thought.
Stephen Quinn – See line above
Lee Williamson – Good player, so won’t last long
Glen Little – Will clearly be released at the end of the season

Ched Evans – I just wish he would score
Henri Camara – United won’t renew his deal at the end of the season
Darius Henderson – Always injured or suspended
Richard Cresswell – Getting on a bit, but our best striker at the moment

Ive noted the players that are likely/semi-likely to extend their stay beyond this season. Ive been optimistic assuming that we wont sell Jamie Ward and Willo for at least another year, which would give us 15 players. If ive left anyone out they probably aren’t worth a mention..............

Re-profiling – don’t you just love it?! Especially when its an annual thing. Well done to all at United, we’re well on course for a return to the dark ages!

At least you've seen the light!

But we have the feeder clubs which have brought us in some quality footballers.
Oh and don't forget we have the Tevez money

How's the Sao Paulo tie-up coming on? Wasn't Terry out there a while back?

Can we label this thread 'Glass Half Empty' so that those that don't want to read the repeated doom and gloom can avoid the thread?

For next season then:

Kenny
Aksalu

Geary
Morgan
Taylor

Ward
Yeates
Williamson
Monty
Quinn

Evans
Hendo
Cresswell
Sharp

Maybe some of the youngsters which have been at Fradi will complement the squad, but there is a lot of work to be done getting a complete squad. And I doubt all the players above will be here next season.

But the fight for play-off still goes on, and in the play-offs anything can happen. :D

Here’s me thinking we had come out of the transfer window unscathed but no, apparently we had the lunacy to agree a recall clause in Kyle Walker’s loan.

I presume the recall option was something Spurs insisted on, rather than something we had the "lunacy to agree". You make it sound as if the loan was all done and dusted and then we said "Actually Harry, do you want the option to recall him?"
Without the recall option there may have been no Kyle at all. Lunacy.

The point is we shouldnt be bringing anyone to the club if its not on our terms. We're Sheffield United! I dont give a fuck if its Spurs or Accrington Stanley. I would not even consider signing a player on loan if there was a chance of a recall - especially if he is going to be picked every week and be a key feature of the team. We keep making these toss pot decisions and once again we are left in the mire at a crucial point of the season.

To those who make the 'glass half empty' comments, im glad your glass is so full. Perhaps I should view it through a shot glass as well......

Wake up. The club has no ambition, never has. Im sick of heart break and disappointment. I'm not keeping quiet and playing the mug anymore - which is what we as supporters are. Its not good enough - simple as that.

@LouTheBlade

Mark Bunn – Returning to Blackburn at the end of the season. Will most likely sign if we go up.
Paddy Kenny – Banned So what?
Ian Bennett – Ancient Still a decent understudy

Derek Geary – Back after a long long lay off Still a fans favourite
Nyron Nosworthy – Returning to Sunderland at the end of the season Maybe? Maybe Not!
Chris Morgan – Peaking Age is a confusing thing isn't it!
Jonathan Fortune – Crock Fair enough
Marcel Seip – Injured/ Probably returning to Plymouth at the end of the season Can't imagine us not signing him really, unless he turns out to be shit
Toni Kallio – Returning to Fulham at the end of the season Maybe? Probably sign in my eyes
Gary Naysmith – If he doesn’t retire soon he will be moved on 100% nonsense
Andy Taylor – Crap Bit harsh! Steady player, liable to mistakes due to experience at this level
Jordan Stewart – Seldom plays Babar!

Ryan France – Why? Agree
Mark Yeates – Be nice if we got to see him We will do
Jamie Ward – Our best remaining player, will probably sell him soon Time will tell, promotion and he'll stay.
James Harper – Will leave on a free at the end of the season Why? He will sign
Nick Montgomery – God bless him but soon we will have to rely on him. Perish the thought. Don't knock him, he does his job and does it well
Stephen Quinn – See line above Jury's out!
Lee Williamson – Good player, so won’t last long Again, why?
Glen Little – Will clearly be released at the end of the season May as well if we don't play him.

Ched Evans – I just wish he would score When he does, his confidence will be sky high.
Henri Camara – United won’t renew his deal at the end of the season Probably right here but wish they would
Darius Henderson – Always injured or suspended Done well to score 11 goals whilst off the field
Richard Cresswell – Getting on a bit, but our best striker at the moment Didn't want to sign him but turns out he's quite good!

The death of our main link was a slight stumbling block you could say...

They were going to explore the possibility of starting talks again, but not sure how that has progressed.

Totally agree. For me, we are mugs to a greedy property developer looking to line his own pocket every single waking hour.

I just really hope that when the moaning starts on Saturday, poeple really do voice their anger. Even I feel a bit sorry for Blackwell to a very small degree but he's the one who can go, not McCabe, so please if a Blackwell Out chant starts, can more than a handful join in? It's a very easy and simple song to learn!!! I practice it in the shower.

Could I just ask how you propose he's going to line his pocket via Sheffield United and how he's going to take the cash out?

Surely if everyone is of this opinion, they shouldn't need to be asked to join in?

Can I request that if anyone is tempted to shout during the game, they actually wait while after?

The players heads drop enough whenever one of them makes the tradional comedy error, what would we achieve by alienating them and causing a worse atmosphere for them to play in?

Oh I agree! Please please please don't shout anything nasty that might make the poor little chickens play poorly. Maybe if the players decided to get their arses in gear and give the fans what they want, then some of the criticism would be deflected.

Two way things loyalty and support, but at the Lane it always appears to be geared towards the fans doing their bit only to be constantly disappointed.

Keep clapping, it'll all turn out right in the end.....er, won't it

:gallop:

Yes you can. I wasn't referring to SUFC specifically. I don't like property developers and have said that before. I think they are responsible for alot of current economic problems. SUFC is his company and he can do what he likes. If he makes a profit out of it eventually I will be pleased because I think it will mean we are doing OK as a club.

I've never said everyone is of the same opinion as me but I couldn't give a stuff about players heads dropping. They can't get any lower anyway.

Maybe by lending the club money at higher interest rates than the banks are paying and having the club pay it back?

Just a thought.

Could you tell me which bank would have lent it us cheaper?

Banks generally do not want to deal with football clubs at the moment, for very good reason.

Support isn't a two way thing?

Sheffield United supporters, support the club, or should.

Sheffield United players, play for the club (or attempt to).

I don't understand what part of potentially negatively effecting players does to support Sheffield United. Especially when just waiting a little longer would have the same effect.

"Clapping" and "supporting" are two different things to me... It's still possible to support, whilst being pissed off and disapointed.

I agree!

What's the point in going to the game to just moan all the way through. Or cheer like we've scored when Quinn gets replaced etc..

If you don't like it, stay away. I'd prefer a 12000 crowd that sings and gets behind the team than a 25000 one where everyone grunts like pigs!

Moving the goalposts, Foxy. Your original question was asking how McCabe could make money out of SUFC. I answered.

Whether banks would lend to us is irrelevant to the matter in hand.

If the crowds were down to 12,000 you wouldn't have a team to get behind!

One of many reasons why K-Mac needs to wake up and sack Blacko without delay.

you may get your wish sooner than you think pal..
