Surely this thread is a bit Bladey Bladeness

I wonder what the 2nd away shirt will look like ? :p

Yes, but

Sheffield%2076-%20Road%20Tony%20Currie,%20Alan%20Woodward.jpg

is much better than

34%20Tony%20Currie.jpg

Much prefer a round neck to that collar and I like the black stripe. However, I'm more than happy with this Adidas kit.

Anyway, what I really want now is a centre forward to smash the goals in. No one will come close to Woody and TC but if we could just start getting some heroes again, we'll all be happy (plus Harry signing another contract and Brayford returning).

I think it matters to a lot of people.

1. It shows the club is listening and thinking of the fans and not just churning out yet another kit for purely commercial gain.

2. It engenders a feel good factor that will permeate onto the pitch to the players. The nuance is that it's another element to the overall match day experience and if a lot of people like it and feel it represents SUFC and what that stands for it will make a positive and perceptible difference to the atmosphere at games.

3. We all know packaging is an important factor for any premium product we purchase. A first team kit that gets the fans interested and engaged means that the sales of the other stuff around it - the quality leisure wear that will inevitably accompany it - will be much higher than if apathy ruled. How many times have we all been around the club shop and noted, "shite, tat, shite, tacky, WTF, shite, etc and walked out the shop with just another car sticker?

It's another factor that the club management have, yet again, done the right thing. We have a really positive vibe from this administration and I cannot remember any other time in my Blades supporting life that it was as engaging, accessible and as encouraging as this.

Fuck me - both Selahattin and the Phippster follow me on Twatter. If that's not fan engagement then I am a rather delicate porcelain cream jug

Good post and nothing I can disagree with. I think my point is more superficial than you have possibly interpreted however. It's more about those who are 'so excited' for the release, doing fake mock ups, guessing what it will look like etc. Superficially, it means nothing to me, I appreciate it may to some, but i couldn't give two hoots what our kit is like as long as it's red and white striped!

Not read through this thread, but honestley that is a smashing kit, totally and utterley ruined by that awful looking sponsor. If you can buy one without the sponsor, its sold, if not, I wont be bothering with that.

You put these in the washer once and the sponsor comes out like me on a Saturday night. A crumpled mess covered in shit.

oh I get it, this is an irony thread ! Right ?

At the risk of getting 'Pelters,' I quite liked Le Coq
So did I. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Macron either.

Sadly we'll never be able to but the shirt without a sponsor, unless we're sponsored by a bookies/casino etc or an alcoholic drink, and even then it's only the kids shirts that come without it.

I think the front sponsor looks fine anyway, it's the back sponsor I don't like.

With a co-owner from Saudi I guess the odds of a bookie or booze sponsor are diminishing rapidly. :)

I'm going to wait to see how this compares to the 2015/16 shirt before parting with any cash...

I going to exclusively wear adidas Sheffield united gear permanently now

Hopefully the well stocked superstore will be available to online shoppers as of 9am Saturday, as I intend to spend bundles on kits and training gear for me and the kids.

Nice kit, great training and leisure gear, in store on time. Not very Sheffield United, is it? Are times finally a changing?

UTB!

Just had an email from the club that my pre-order has been despatched......I will have 2 very excited sons when I tell them tonight!

Kits have arrived this morning and very impressive they are too.

One word of warning is the sizing compared to Macron. The Macron shirts came up big and I always had a medium, (in the few Macron shirts I owned) however the Adidas sizes are more "normal" a Large fits me as the Macron Medium did.

Got mine too. Full kit, but never to be worn together.
Shirt - large is quite slim fit, good job I'm slim ;) sponsor is a stick on, so can't see that lasting a season of 5 a side. Time will tell. Compared to my Yokohama marinos shirt it's not quite on the same quality. Sleeves are a little bit square. I liked the fitted feel to last seasons Macron shirt sleeves. Overall quality compared to the macron from last season is about the same. Compared to the promotion season Le Coq Sportif shirt, quality seems much lower. Value for money at £45 - absolutely not, but never expected it to be. It's a really smart looking shirt though, I'm just being very critical.

Shorts - cheapest possible Sunday league kit shorts with a blades badge on them. Don't buy them. Much better than the macron parachutes

Socks - standard Adidas white with red Adidas stripes. You could buy these elsewhere for less I'm sure. No blades swords on them. Decent quality, just standard socks. Macron socks were better

Buy the shirt, forget the rest. I hope the training wear is better

Mine just turned up too, really happy with the look and feel of it!

That's weird, it looks like the actual shirt has more white on it than the promotional images showed. The one Murphy and Flynn were modelling just had the two central stripes. I actually much prefer it now I've seen this version.

Interesting......S5, is your shirt designed to fit the more rotund figure?

Mine doesn't have the extra white stripe down the side and is like the one modelled by Flynny on the shop site.

Mine is a XXL, I usually wear XL but always order bigger for football shirts as they tend to be pretty slim fitting and I dont like them clinging.
