I thought Evans' strike off bar in first half was in. I sit level with 18 yard line so not perfect but it looked over. Probably not but anyone else see it better?
How any team that had 3 gilt edged chances served up on a plate (including a penalty) and singularly failed to take any of them can say they were robbed is beyond me. A refusal - as simple as that. They were hardly robbed.
I thought we did alright, wasn't a classic, but 3 points is 3 points.
Wardy played well, Camara played like a striker should play and we made less mistakes.
Posh fans seem to think they were robbed according to BBC Sport. I couldnot be there so were we rubbish?
Personally I think we should take a leaf out of their book -they are positive in adversity
Lets get behind the lads -they won!
UTB
I sit between G and H block in the South Stand and didnt think Evans' effort crossed the line
Loving all the Wardy had a great game while Evans was disappointing.
I think I watch a different match, Quinny and Wardy tucked inside making Evans have to go wide to try and find some space time and time again. Plus I didn't see one opportunity created for Evans by our midfield he has to do everything himself as did Wardy when he was put up top. Evans was tracking back all game and putting himself about because nothing was happening up front. Hoofball was also back.
Walker had another stinker and was caught at least 4 times in possession in defence and numerous times played poor passes to Harper/Evans/Williamson in the second half giving away the ball on the halfwayline. We also had another passenger on the other side with Killa pulling out of 50/50's and not looking too interested.
I just don't understand the tactics we set up 4-4-2 and then play two central players out wide who just want to come inside and give us no width. It makes no sense.
One final comment on the penalty and was up top I it was a stuck on penalty.
I think you are being vey harsh on Peterborough Duncan.
To be honest Bob, I think you're watching a different game every week.
Walker and Ward were among our best players and the bit of ability Walker showed to set up Harper in the second half underlined the huge potential he's got to go all the way in the game.
As for Chedwyn, he should be docked wages for his performance in the second half. A grand for every pathetic effort he made to jump more than six inches off the ground.
It doesn't matter if it's hoofball or total football. The least we punters deserve is a £3m player putting in a proper shift.
Ah Walker does one thing and he has a great game despite being caught in possession again on multiple occasions bringing it out of defence and picking the wrong options. Evans is all over the place, doesn't give the ball away and is unlucky not to score and he doesn't put a shift in.
I don't there is much point you replying to my posts nor me replying to yours. I don't think your opinion is worth anything and I'm sure that sentiment is replicated by yourself.
I don't think there is anyway you could call Evans for not putting the effort in yesterday and yet I already knew you would post this rubbish about his performance. I would also suggest you knew I would post to say he put in a decent shift.
Funny how Hendo, Sharp, Beattie, and now Evans have been vilified for not being good enough and not scoring enough and not working hard enough. How many of these players have a better starts to goals and assists ratio than Evans? Maybe when the midfield doesn't create anything and plays with a lack of width the forwards feel cut off and they have to come deep or go out wide to find any space.
It's quite simple tactics if both your wingers come inside there is less room for the strikers to play in. Which is great if you have players who can thread little balls through, but we haven't and we don't.
Peterborough easily deserved a draw and if the pen had gone in would have gone on to win.
Aye, I'd imagine we just chalk off the efforts on target and the number of corners as Blades defensive tactics or perhaps they were signs of Posh's impending draw/win.
Just like young Ched belting the ball against the bar to make sure they couldn't break with it and get the inevitable goalHung on throughout whilst they peppered our goal.
If you didn't think Walker got caught in possession then you didn't watch the game. He also lost the ball a couple of times with poor passes into the middle giving away possession in dangerous areas. If you didn't see that happen you can't of been there.

As I said there's no point continuing this as by your assessment of the game never mind Evans and Walker you are aren't watching the matches that much is clear.
I'll leave you to have your usual last word.
Walker does it regularly. Often he's got the pace to make things up, but it's part of his game he needs to improve on if he's going to make it.
It's no good having all the benefits of him going forward, if he starts costing us in the other direction.
Another thing people seem to ignore, is his willingness on occaision to pump the ball aimlessly forwards. Him and Killa are the main culprits, but because they are "Premiership" class, they get ignored with the "less skillful" blamed.
In the real world and according to all the independent reports Peterborough were extremely unlucky not to at least draw the match.
I take it I was living in a dream world in noticing that we had by far in excess the number of efforts on target that Posh did?
Yes, they came into it second half, but the penalty (one of their very few efforts on goal) was the closest they came to a goal, that our supposed "calamity" keeper saved. I assume that in the "real" world, means they deserved to win.
If that meant they were unlucky not to draw/win, surely us having more efforts on goal and smashing the underside of the crossbar also counts in the unlucky stakes? or doesn't it work like that? Ignoring the obvious fact that we scored more goals than them![]()
Multiple occasions was, I believe, your phrase.
The most dangerous loss of possession I recall was your hero passing it straight to the opposition in the second half and leaving us wide open for them to break.
You are unable to recognise the genuine talent we have at right back and suspend your critical faculties to believe Evans is doing lots of things he isn't.
I think I know whose view is based in reality.
He's already made it. He's employed by one of the top football clubs in this country.
Yes it was multiple times, and the most dangerous was actually where Walker sold Evans short with a pass and let them in.
Looks like my one is multiplying by the second Len.
Admirable loyalty Foxy, admirable.
If you can't see we were absolutely shocking in that second half and played off the park, c'est la vie.
and on loan to a team that were apparently lucky to win a game in the division lower?
Having never played a game in the Premier League.
If that's the pinnacle of his career and he's already made it.... Then I'm dissapointed for a lad who's wasted his talent.
It was multiple times in your own head Bob, not on the pitch.
