Mid table.

Could have a shy towards the payoffs if we have a good run. Could flirt with the bottom 6 if we're unlucky with injuries.

Realistically playoffs is probably beyond us but I haven’t totally given up on it. We’ve generally been poor at Bramall Lane but the key to our hopes this season lie in the home form, we’ve played the least amount at home in the whole league and have 3 and 4 more home games on teams above us. To have most of them in the second half of the season where it matters has to be an advantage.

I have a sneaky feeling we might just nick that 6th place spot on the last weekend of the season.

Is that a “So” as in the studenty/corporate I think I’ve got something important to say so I’ll put “So” at the start?!

If so, please rephrase.

If not I’ll answer.

I was worried at the start when Hecky was appointed, cheap option never really done much, but to be fair he started off ok, Was it the new manager bounce ?
Yesterday really worried me I know he wasn't in the dug out but he would still have had a lot of input into that team Yesterday.
I guess because alot of our fans can understand him and with Lester and McCall having played for us, Someone even posted that McCall would have us fired up, on what basis they based that on I don't know well I do actually he used to play for us, Will buy them some time.
We won't go down this season but I do really worry for the future we are skint the Prince won't spend or doesn't have the money and we have a Chairman who doesn't even like football.
Unless someone comes forward to buy us I can only see a bleak future a head.
I would honestly take Ashley now over the Prince.

The consensus seems to be so-so

Somewhere between 13th and 16th. We won't get dragged in to a relegation battle as there are some genuinely dire teams in this Division, but anyone who thinks we are going to be anywhere near the play offs have obviously been taking gruntlet sized doses of Deludamol.

The real issue is we are carrying 5 players in the squad who cost the biggest fees in the club history, and are on higher wages than anyone has ever been for, and can't even be arsed putting the minimum effort in. They are like a cancer in the club, will be very hard to cut out, and Championship mediocrity beckons for Sheffield United until they are binned off.

Hecky won't see the season out
then big Aidy takes over, we revert back to 1980's hoofball and fall into oblivion for 15 years, then Billy Sharp takes over after his succesful non league and League 2 managerial career.

We get promoted to the Premier League despite the club never planning to get there, the club gets a prize of £200 trillion pounds, but unfortunately waste the money on players that are not Premier League quality.

We fill the rest of the squad with "last chance saloon types", players who showed promise at 18 but have struggled since because they are basically fucking idiots.

But theyll be ideal for us because they'll snatch our hands off for a contract, however shit by Premier League standards that contract is.

Our marque signings for £87 trillion, £45 trillion, £30 trillion and £25 trillion turn out to be shit, they have proved themselves to be decent players, but they somehow just can't seem to do it for United, and our only semi success is the 38 year old Iliman Ndiaye who we got on a free after his Premier League career with Bournemouth came to an end three years previously.

Meanwhile the signings we originally wanted but lost out on to Brighton, Palace, Bournemouth and newly promoted Halifax Town go from strength to strength

Nope, was a simple “So, (after a disappointing result at Derby) how do we think the season will pan out” enquiry 😃

Utterly brilliant, insightful satire.

Deserves an award!

Bottom half after MGW gets recalled and Hecky rotates Didzy, Freeman and Burke as attacking mids for the rest of the season.
