So, here we go again....

I want Cooper & Souttar & JRS to start , the latter because he is our only ball-carrier who runs at defences to put them in a panic.
Without JRS , our build-up play is far too slow , like 22/23 and 23/24.
How many times yesterday did we start from the goalie rolling it out , only to get pressed + panicked + not even get out of our own half before losing it or thumping it long.
May as well have the goalie play it long , just a waste of energy farting about with it in our own half.

Wilder has given himself a formation conundrum.
I am well chuffed that he's signed the winger JRS who is obviously our most dangerous player and frightened the life out of QPR defence yesterday.
He MUST start every game.
But the problem is how to accommodate him.
Firstly it means we have to go 4 at the back , for which we currently don't have the players.
And having done that , do you drop Brooks , who can do a bit of defensive work which helps Blaster & Vini ?
Or Hamer who can turn a game with a touch of class ?
Or OHare and play JRS as a 10 ?
Some real thinking for Mester Wilder.
Then again , if we revert to 5 at the back , it's even harder to put JRS in.
But we've paid a big loan fee for him and he looks worth it , so I want to see him in the side.

I feel Wilder has woken up finally to the fact that 5 at the back is not the way to go. Souttar is evidence of this he is not made to fit a back 5. He just needs a decent partner. Personally I think JLT got a bad wrap in the QPR game I watched the highlights and he cant be singled out as the reason why we let 2 goals in like many on here have done.
Davies is just to blame it not more for coming off his line and flapping at the ball Grbic style.

Personally I think 5 or 6 more matches will be a better indication to see which way we are going and I can only see positively the team getting better. Its a learning curve this season to get the new team going and I`d even be happy if we didnt go up this season but were around 7th/8th.

The trouble with missing promotion is that you then lose the expensive quality loanees like Souttar , Gilchrist & JRS when you don't have parachute money to replace them.
Then you lose your developing stars.
The nature of parachutes is that it's shit or bust really for a club like ours which is not subsided by its owner.
You have to get straight back up or probably not at all.
