Hang on a minute. Dunno what you do for a living but if you kept making similar errors for the best part of the year Id expect you to be on a sticky wicket.

The manager/coaches have to explain why the fuck do we need a 2/3 goal start just to get a draw. We were playing QPR for god's sake not Glasgow Rangers.

This is a major problem. We even showed it against Wrexham by giving them a second goal. FFS Blades sort it out!

Own moaning? That was a bad/dire performance to let that happen. Dont think you got a clue mate tbh. You cant keep making the same mistakes. We got absolutely thrashed last season. The fucking worst since Darwen?? Losing 0-3 to the Arse is one thing 0-5 and 0-6 another and it went and on and now carries on. We are now back at 'our level' and the first thing we do in our first home game is take a substantial lead and let it slip. Fuck' if Fergie was our manager we would need a new dressing room by now because the builders would have to be brought in to repair the damage.

Obviously managing not your thing. It's not the draw that's pissed me off its winning 2-0 and letting it slip against fucking QPR. We keep doing it. Am asking the obvious question - why does it keep happening.

In our last league game, we went two goals ahead and won.

3 games into the season and some want Wilder sacked. Oh how the tide turns quickly. We havent lost yet. Give it time to get going. New players, new team need to gell. We still havent got all the pieces in the right place.

Agree we should have won it today but from where we were to where we are now I`ll take 3 games without a loss and into next round of a cup.
 
Just looked at stats from our last champ season. Goals per 15 minute segment were 7,6,5,9,7,5 so pretty consistent. Goals per 15 minute segment from the prem season were 12,19,10,15,21,27 so a definite bias towards conceding later in the game. My memory is playing tricks again!

Obviously far too early to run a comparison chart but by mid season it will be good to see goals conceded vs the last championship terms both under Wilder and Hecky to see if any parallels can be drawn as to what is going on. Under the Hecky promotion season we conceded 2 or more 7 times that season including 3 against Blackpool which is very much how I am feeling about this result. It’s not ideal but not the end of the world doom and gloom either. A goal difference of +34 isn’t big when you think that we managed to get 91 points. The key is trying to stop this becoming a habit. That season 15 of the 28 wins came from being in front by 1 goal and that ultimately made the difference of us going up

I aint crying bud. Just angry. It is the consistency of giving away winning positions. Even you cant be happy with that unless you're at the Stadium of Shite and crying.

We are playing a back 4 i think it's going to take us time to get to grips with this. There is a lack of understanding let's face it most players only joined last couple of weeks, yes we should have had enough to see past QPR especially against 10 men. If the same mistakes happen and we continue not to make changes or learn from them then I'll start to be concerned. For me a better start than i was expecting. Throw in Souter, Campbell and Rak Saki i think we will be ok. UTB
 
What cost us was lack of leadership on and off the pitch.

But ultimately the buck stops with Wilder and the excuses that he made in the aftermath of the game were not right at all that kind of thing can cause problems within a dressing room.

I don't know about anyone else but Wilder has never been same since he was last sacked.
 
Why are people comparing last season with this as if it’s the reasons? We conceded late goals last season regularly because we were woefully ill equipped to deal with premier league sides swapping out half their teams for the last 30 mins of games. We barely had an 11, so had little or no chance once that team tired.

This season that isn’t the problem, in fact we don’t know it’s it’s a problem because we’ve paid hardly any games. We’ve conceded two goals against QPR that we shouldn’t have done, mainly because we didn’t continue to press our dominance after 20 mins while not having a side set up to see out 65 mins of football.

Just because the outcome is barely similar doesn’t mean the cause is the same.

True, but we also had game changers on our bench to do same for last 30 mins yet didn't take advantage of that.
 
FFS So, we have a brand new team. Some players haven't even played for us. Wilder doesn't even know his best team yet. Give a chance, give them time to gel. If wilder is shit he will get fired. If he has got a squad of good young players with a bit of experience thrown in, that he can get working together and the fans behind them all..... then lets see what happens.

Wilder has given himself a formation conundrum.
I am well chuffed that he's signed the winger JRS who is obviously our most dangerous player and frightened the life out of QPR defence yesterday.
He MUST start every game.
But the problem is how to accommodate him.
Firstly it means we have to go 4 at the back , for which we currently don't have the players.
And having done that , do you drop Brooks , who can do a bit of defensive work which helps Blaster & Vini ?
Or Hamer who can turn a game with a touch of class ?
Or OHare and play JRS as a 10 ?
Some real thinking for Mester Wilder.
Then again , if we revert to 5 at the back , it's even harder to put JRS in.
But we've paid a big loan fee for him and he looks worth it , so I want to see him in the side.
 
It's not just united fans is it, show some promise, bring a few new players in, play well and win - we're going to win promotion, what a manager, what a team, and then of course the opposite happens and after two games we're going no where, sack the manager etc etc. We need calm down a bit ,the two halves against Preston were good the first yesterday even better, the second half very poor, trouble is it is the last half we've played so it sticks in the memory for all of us, trouble is for some it's completely blown up.
 



Need an old head or two at the back a d in midfield. Not necessarily to start, but to come on if we aren't having it our way and they can organise and sort. A Worrall (with Souttar) and a McLean or Grimes help us keep organised and keep possession at difficult times. We have those available to us yesterday and we win comfortably. Gilchrist will grow into the right back position and we have Seriki too. All successful teams have a strong spine running through the team. With Anel and Robinson at the back we don't have that yet. Wrong team picked yesterday. Should have had Cooper and Souttar starting. Better to have deficiencies highlighted now than from September as we can still do somethings to remedy it, so chill. Wilder will sort it.
