I support a shit football club that is badly run.
The club is rotten but not shit. We as fans deserve so much better.I don't support a shit football club.
They might be "playing" shit now and have for a while, but the CLUB is not shit.
You probably did the post in haste - do you want to reconsider?

Good post, my view is similar with what we are presented with at the moment.The OP asked "What do we do now ?" The mature answer is we can't oust the owners or change their minds.
However much I want to be in that car-park after the match on Saturday (based on my emotional need to demonstrate how much the Club mean to me) , I know that it won't help.
It might have shifted McCabe's disaster drunkard manager , but it won't shift McCabe or indeed alter the owners joint approach.
They know they are a PR car-crash , which is why they had JimBob write that drivel in advance.
In fact , going into the car-park with my shoes in hand could work against me.
Because the arrogant, opportunistic owners could choose to make Adkins the scapegoat , just as they have chosen other scapegoats in the past.
And that's not what I want. For all I can criticize aspects of his recruitment and tactics , the last thing the patient needs (lying there with his guts all over the operating table) is another change of surgeon.
So win or draw against Wigan, (for my own sanity), my thoughts have to stay on the team and not the owners.
Lose badly against a promotion rival who has strengthened, I can't ignore how the owners have let me down - I'll join in with a few cathartic (but admittedly ineffective) chants of "Sack the Board" , but be careful not to provide them with a scapegoat.
So to try and drag myself out of my present pit of despair , allI can do is think about the football team side of things and ignore the Club/owners.
Theodore Roosevelt said "Do what you can, where you are, with what you have".
A modern version goes along the lines of worrying only about what can be changed.
So here's my positive thoughts on what I'd do in Nigel's shoes :
Every player out of contract in the summer EXCEPT Adams, Harris, K.Wallace, Edgar & Long , should go.
ie: Hammond, Sammon, Flynn, JCR, Baxter, Cuvelier, Collins, Kennedy, McGahey, McEveley & Howard.
But Hammond will stay (you know it).
Of those who are still in contract, these should be sold/paid-off: Scougall, Woolford, McFadzean & DGRO.
But Woolford will stay (you know it).
That leaves us with a realistic prospect of the following squad:
New first-choice goalie, Long as cover ( or Long plus Willis as cover - I don't know Willis);
Brayford, new RB cover, new CB x2, Edgar as cover, Harris, K.Wallace;
Coutts, Basham, Hammond (Capt. while NA is here), Reed, new & pacy CMF x2, new RW, new LW (new ones have to be goalscorers);
Sharp, Done, Adams, DCL, new C/F x 2.
That's a principle squad of 23.
9 new recruits who are A) Youthful & B) Have Some Pace & C) Have Some Quality & D) Have Some Potential To Develop ...........think Brian Deane.
Like in 1988, we aren't rich enough to buy the finished article - so we have to Scout Well and find players who are going to take themselves (and us) upwards.
No one who knows my usual postings could call me a clapper , but where there's life , there's hope.

No i wasnt but what youre suggesting badically is that we shouldnt care and if we didnt then this forum wouldnt exist and neither would the clubBecause every day I get out of bed I can change my life. By moaning about the government and just about everything else I drown in a pit of self pity but can blame everyone else for my failings.
I support a shit football club that is badly run. Oh dear, here ends my life. You would think judging by the reactions of some on here that it was a shock we hadn't bought anyone. Were you surprised Judge? I wasn't.
And given the proceedings, these last 24 hrs, what makes you think that McCabe and co would entertain such a forum for a nanosecond - seriously?Excellent stuff and proof that a fans group could add something to the management of the club.

Good idea. I read Meadowhall is having a 60 million quid game changing investment.In other words
Why give a fuck ?
Why invest money and emotion ?
Why support a team ?
Why not fuck off to meadowhall ?

Good post mate are you expecting Brayford and Adams to be sold in the summer to make up for the deficit because i am ..Then we will slash the wage bill but this is the reality of being a well established 3rd division team .If you are genuinely a man in his mid 40's what are you doing? Stopping up late expecting something to happen? Why? It is rare than anything happens of note within a transfer window at BDTBL. If you were in your early 20's or some wet behind the ear teenager then perhaps but assuming you have supported to club since being young then this should be the expectation.
I'd also wonder why you are livid? If this was unexpected news, a bolt from the blue I'd see some reason but this has been coming. Chucking people out and a few platitudes from Adkins about players possible coming in. Then nothing happens. This is the way.
There is (as expected) a lot of mock indignation on here. I'm sorry people need to grow up. This isn't new this is the way. It isn't going to change. If you cannot get used to it then I suggest you either send yourself off for anger management classes or get some medication.
If anyone needs to compare and contrast where we really are then look across at S6. Good players coming in and money genuinely going into the first team. We are not loaded and do not have a rich benefactor. Hence we use terms like "Right Sizing" and other such terminology.
Fact is, we are stuck with this. We have a good manager, hopefully he will deliver us a better team in the coming 12 months or so. That appears to be the plan. At least now it looks like there is one.

You can change your relationship with sufc by ending it
By being apathetic you are actually adding to the problem
