Shite this at just a months notice.

Feels like 50% of our home games have been weekday evenings this season. Had planned to bring my 6 y/o daughter to this one. Lads who I sit with have STs for their kids as well which aren’t getting much use as the games are moved to night time kick offs.

If it carries on like this people will stop going. We’ve all got lives away from watching football and people will eventually give up season tickets etc when you have to keep Friday night to Sunday tea time free of plans if you want to go to the game every week.

I bet businesses around the ground will be noticing the difference as well. Full day out Saturday having a few pints/and or something to eat pre/post match vs chucking a quick pint down your neck pre match then straight home after as you’ve got work the next day.

Sky couldn’t have found a better way to kill the EFL off.

Agree and I wish there was some sort of co-ordinated push back on the number of games getting moved. It seems like they push us around more and more as there are never any consequences for them.

For me it means my dad won't be able to come now and he's possibly already bought his train ticket. And only a week ago I passed up on some very lucrative and easy overtime for the Saturday.

It doesn`t just feel like it, its actually not far off -

9 games on weekday evenings - only 3 of which were originally scheduled for a weekday evening. PNE could still be moved, as could Cardiff (albeit that's currently scheduled for Good Friday)

So it isn`t half of our games that have been weekdays evenings, but its the same number that are Sat 3pm. Plus of course the Cardiff FA Cup game was moved

It's a classic Faustian bargain

Love owt like this me should be on the Dull Man Club page on Facebook though but right up my street haha

Wasn’t Watford a Sunday game on Sky?

If so only 7 (possibly 8 with PNE) Sat 3pm kickoffs must be a record for us? I wonder how this compares to last season in the prem.

Same here, Im not predicting a massive decline, just blinded by my anger at Sky. Clearly I identify more with rovers than City in Bristol, but well done spotting my school boy error. 😂
You remember going to Eastville? Always seemed to get humped there. Think I went twice in the late 70's.

You are correct - I had (rather disgracefully) assumed anything at 3pm was a Saturday.

Technically the Millwall game could still be moved - but my assumption here is that it would be moved to another midweek slot rather than a weekend

interestingly exactly the same proportion of our home games were at 3pm Saturday, and exactly the same number (8) were moved from 3pm Saturday

id be fascinated to see how many saturday 3pms we've had. compared to the 3 newly promoted teams or us last season. because with this new EFL deal which is absolutely 💩 for the match going fans. i wonder ipswich Leicester & Southampton are better off

literally the post above yours - in summary - no, we weren`t better off last season. not only was the proportion of Sat 3pm kick offs the same, we were terrible to watch. Although if you only attended our Saturday 3pm games your record would have been a not terrible P8 W2 D2 L4...

Happy with this one for a change. This was going to be the first and last game I missed this season due to being in Benidorm on the 29th so happy days 😊

"PNE could still be moved" really? It's a week away, thought they always gave more notice than that.

Not sure that’s accurate?
Both Smoggies & Brizzle were (always) scheduled for mid- week irrespective of TV ?

The Everton game was actually the 12:30 TNT sports early kick off. So 7 x Saturday 3pm kick offs last season compared to 8 this season.

Still, we had 10 Saturday kick offs last season (mixed KO times) versus 9 Saturday home games in the Championship this season

Including Sunday games we had 16 home games played Saturday & Sunday in the EPL last season (89%).

Versus 12 (52%) of homes games this season played over Sat & Sun.

Matches being moved means we’re doing well, I’d rather watch United doing well on a Friday than playing shit and losing on a Saturday.

Last season says hello....

If I didnt benefit from the senior discount, I doubt I'd renew now. Can't get home on the train and cba with driving 4 hours plus when I can just turn on the tv.

Assuming Blackburn on the last day gets moved, Preston will be our final Saturday 3pm home game of the season. We’ll have had 8/23 (if I’ve counted it right).

Personally, its getting to the point where its not worth getting an ST for the first time in 20+ years. Not because I don't want to, but because I’m missing too many to make it financially worth it. May as well save a few quid and pay for the games I can actually go to.
Last day games don’t get moved
