Strange feelings, first off I was disappointed with the news, the club needs good people like him, but it is obviously something he wants,a chance to get closer to being a manager possibly so nothing but best wishes and good luck for the future, wonder if he will one day return in some capacity?

Good luck Chris Morgan, an absolute Blades legend, a rock in the back four, never scared of going in for a full blooded tackle, very rarely beaten in the air, a good lad who loved his fishing (in his spare time).

No doubt in this Blades fans mind that the Chris Morgan of 10-15 years ago would single handedly have sorted our most recent defensive frailties to the extent that we would not be a L1 club. I could probably not pay you a bigger compliment than that.

Hard to put into words what he meant to this club.
When United had a reputation for being an absolute nightmare to play against whether we won, drew or lost. At the heart of it was Morgan. When Bramall Lane had a reputation for being one of the toughest grounds to get a result from, he was one of the main reasons why.
He defined the 'Blades Way' before it became a slogan and at our best, the team 'United Together' under his captaincy before it became a hashtag.
I wish him every success.
