So what options do we have.

4. Loan a 3rd choice prem Keaper, maybe speroni or even Aron ramsdale

The last third choice Premier League keeper we signed was Steve Simonsen. That went well.

This could be disastrous for Moore.

If it's any more than a month we could be pressed into getting a higher calibre keeper than we otherwise might have, and that keeper could keep him out of the team all season.

It's the first problem of any kind he's had so the timing is a real sickener for him. If he ended up being a number 2 again after doing that for 3 years at Cardiff, that would be very unfortunate.

I've mentioned Connor Ripley a few times, I would've liked us to sign him before this injury to Moore but even more so now. Might cost a bit but we've got the sell on fees and he'd be a good investment.

But that said, Eastwood looked impressive tonight. A few genuinely good saves and he dealt with the ball in the air. He also kicks it out of his hands better than Moore does.

From the little I have seen of Eastwood I like him, but we have recently had our fingers severely burned by promoting a young keeper kid before his time in Long which has effectively scuppered his career.

We will need a more experienced first choice, Ripely is a good call, but will we take the monetary hit? I think we could afford it, but I worry if we did it would be used as an excuse to cash in on Brooks.

Well we've saved money by not signing Holmes, and with Brooks' emergence, we probably won't spend on anyone else in that position. Add that to the sell on clause bonuses there should be enough for us to invest in someone like Ripley. It's also possible we won't spend on a striker either if no one suitable is available/attainable so that could create more room for a good keeper.

I agree though, the more we spend, the more likely it is Brooks will be sold.

But Christopher's never seems to have been one for chucking kids in, so pretty inevitable that there'll be an experienced incoming.

Anyway, the philosophy now seems to be direct competition in every position, so another goalie was inevitable.

McLaughlin who was in team of tge year with Burton is on trial at Hull. 29, reasonable wages, strange he got released.

Depending on their plan, Allan McGregor at Hull. They have Marshall already, Will Manion and seem in the market for another keeper.

Now Leicester have signed Jakupovic, Ben Hamer seems a bit wasted there.

Without knowing much about either, Swansea have Biroghitti and Nordfeldt who are international players who will likely be out of the team.
