Seriously? Yes he's good but I think Henderson is better. Also Foster is 36 and will only decline, Henderson is still only 22 and will continue to improve with experience.

I may be about to throw myself on the chopping block with the life-long Blades here but here goes;

I think Sheffield United can do a lot better than Deano.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing but admiration for him and for what he’s done for the club, and I rate him at least equal to Pickford now (apart from his kicking), but

Deep down in the pit of my stomach I feel he isn’t training and playing to this standard for Sheffield United, he’s doing it to stay on the radar at Man U. If Man U decide that he’s not for them and we can buy him, that would be a bitter disappoint for him which could lead to a drop in form. This could only be for couple of weeks but that’s enough for a solid mid table position to turn into a relegation battle. He could also start playing silly buggers with wage demands.

If we do part company in the summer we can be confident that CWAK have the situation well in hand, so I’m not at all worried about Deano departing for pastures new. We would also have room for another loaner.

As for a replacement, I have my doubts that Simon Moore has the quality to be a No1 PL keeper but I wouldn’t be displeased if we made a bid for Ben Foster on a one year contract.

I posted this on the 5th January on another thread, mainly to negative responses, and I’ve slightly changed my opinion, but not by much.

First choice Deano on loan next season, second choice sign him if he agrees to our terms or we get a massive buy back clause in the contract (50m plus), third choice look somewhere else.

It’s the way he bounces back from the odd mistake that impresses me. Such a confident keeper. When he eventually gets the number one spot for England, he would just carry on the same imo regardless of any shit stirring by the media should he make a mistake.

Been on a few other teams forums today to see if any of our players are on the fans radar..

Man Utd fans were saying they wouldn’t have Henderson back if it meant rodrigo leaving because he wouldn’t stay and be third choice, and while a few quote deano as featuring in the possible line ups next season, many fans don’t, one or two say sell him.. DDG is still no 1 for the fans..

Oh and Man Utd - Chelsea - Arsenal - and Leicester only have eyes for Grealish, Maddison and Declan Rice.. the only blades player getting a mention was Berge and most of that chatter was pre transfer to us.. so our squad are not as coveted as we fear.
