Can't believe it's 3 years since he passed away!!. He was a true blade and one of the nicest blokes I've had the fortune to meet. He always had time for everyone. I remember him offering me and a couple of mates a lift back to Sheffield after our coach had broken down at Watford gap services after a match in London. He will be looking down on us now with a bloody big smile on his face!!. . RIP SHRED.

A gentleman.

True gent , travelled allover Europe watching the blades with him. There will never be another David Spencer. Forget players managers chairmen the lot its people like shred that made football, wherever the blades played he was there. The funeral was unreal , half of Sheffield was shut there must have been well over two thousand in attendance. .

And in true Shred organisational fashion you couldn't hear a word from the speakers outside at City Road Crem. Brought a few smiles amongst the tears.
