I'm not generally a bedwetter about stuff like this - and certainly, I've never necessarily held with the idea of having "lost the dressing room" which, for me, speaks more to the character of the players not doing their best for their wage despite perhaps disliking the man in charge...

... But at some point, and I suspect sooner than later, something has to give. We either need to suddenly improve as everything clicks with the new players coming in; a new system; or possibly a new manager.

This can't continue. Bad enough when we were getting a weekly bumming in the PL - at least we knew it was because we weren't good enough.

Here though, in the Champ, with a (mostly) squad that came within a gnats pube of Play-Offs promotion? That we've added to with seeming quality replacements? To be THIS SHITE?

Nah.

I was going to leave my vote until after the Charlton game, but I just can't do it now. I do feel that the Charlton game will be his last (if he even gets that far)

Thanks for your efforts, but Adios Ruben 👋

Feels wrong to call for his head so early, I normally reserve judgment until 10 games. Not sure he sees the other side of the international break.

The reality is, if we stick, even if he does turn it around, we'll be too far adrift.

However. Not Wilder. Not Dyche. Not even Cooper. I was excited by Sellés because I thought his appointment heralded a modernisation of the clubs inner workings. To steal a line from Roygbiv What appears to have happened is the board have sacked a manager and installed a coach, but that's it. We need to overhaul the entire management of the club and the 'one man doing it all' approach will not benefit us in the long run.
The club will not modernise whilst Bettis is running the show, yet some people think the sun shines out of his arse.

Over the 60% mark saying he should go.

Less than 1 in 5 have long-term confidence than him.

Wonder how the board feels currently.

This is the thing for me, how do they feel and how will they react.

Its all still fresh under them, we've not had them in charge long enough to be able to take an educated guess as to how they will react. Some chairman are predictable, others not so much, but our new owners are so new we've no idea at all.

We might have the full season with Sellés in charge yet, we've honestly no idea. I think they listened to the fans with Wilder and people saying he was boring/failure/dinosaur, so do you think they will listen to us again given they've now got burnt with Sellés?!?

We've not reached the protests and banners stage yet, though there were some pro-Wilder chants you could hear on the TV today.

As I said before, I think we could all stomach 5 defeats if we could see some positive signs or if we had been unlucky with injuries and refereeing decisions but we have nothing to cling onto at the moment in our displays.

Was an appointment I felt was 20% likely to be a stroke of genius and 80% a disaster. Looking more like 5% / 95% now.

Nonetheless, I think 10-12 games is the point at which you make the decision. Enough games to implement his ‘plan’ and see what ‘style’ he has brought in.

Hence my vote for ‘not now’
10/12 games is too long,we could be stranded at the bottom.

Pretty sure if this poll was ran again the skew would be nearer 90% wanting Selles out.
I can't find much support for him anywhere (other than on Wednesday's forum).

The one thing I don't want to see is any piling in on Selles, or nastiness. This isn't personal. He hasn't been backed but he always looks like the job is too big for him.

For context, I've just seen someone post somewhere saying we should get this fraud out of our club. He's not trying to do a bad job, he speaks with integrity and genuinely wants to do well, it's just a tough gig as it stands.

I said ‘yes’ last week and the performance plus the bullshit spouted in the interview after the match isn’t changing my mind!

I’d actually kill for a scabby 1 nil and a “this football club” or “1000 games as a manager” right now 😬

Come on what are the 17% seeing that the 60% are not seeing.

Yeah it's dreadful what we are witnessing, but I think four league games in is too early to get rid. The players and board must bare some responsibility for the start to the season too. The board called for patience when they appointed him, let's see how patient they are.

Selles needs to learn from his mistakes and get them going over the next 3-5 games though. He can't keep playing those 3 in midfield, it clearly doesn't work. With the transfer window closed and a full squad let's see how they can turn it around.

In the meantime the board need to be assessing replacements. If there is no progress by 10 games, then get rid. That's 36 games left for the new manager/coach.

My concern is that he is persisting with this totally ineffective midfield combination of Peck, O’Hare and Hamer and he shows no indication that he is going to change it.
4 games in we may be it seems he cannot communicate his ideas effectively to the players.
Time for him to go before any more damage is inflicted- I would literally accept anyone except Selles at the moment. It’s utter dog shit.

"Time for him to go before any more damage is inflicted"

This is the key bit.

Yep, 36 games might be time to save us from relegation, but what about those of us who would like to see us at the other end of the table?

Don’t necessarily disagree with you.

I think he has 3 games now to get results and/or significantly improved performances, given he now has new players at his disposal (possibly more by Ipswich).

Personally, along with the rest of us, I don’t think we’ll see improvements, but with new players in, the atmosphere and situation could change.

The trouble is, ultimately, it doesn’t really matter what we all think……….

It really wouldn't take long for players realize that a manager doesn't know what he is doing .Especially if he is not open to suggestions from senior members of the squad leading to frustration and lack of confidence

You're right of course,it doesn't matter but it seems as though most of the squad are not taking on board what he wants, that can't be allowed to go on

Nearly 40% against sacking him when this was last viewed.

Wonder if any votes will be changed after this match.

Remember that “Welcome to Bramall Lane Rubén” banner? We need a new one for the Charlton match.

“No dejes que la puerta te golpee el trasero al salir Rubén. Adios”

The clown has had a decent international break with most players still at the club to try and get something right. He's achieved nothing, plays still same effort of players still same, defending still same, attacking still same & non existent.

Get him sacked now.

Would be really interested to hear from the 'no' group (genuinely)

Foxy and Linz may I ask you to kindly consider locking this thread, going to create a new one
