Should we drop Clarke

Clarke has needed a rest for a while but last night he looked as good as ever and I had no doubt he'd score if he'd stayed on. Give him a match or two off (or until his injury is sorted) and bring him on from the bench, it's not a problem any more.

Was thinking similar but I suspect he's the sort of moody player than needs to feel involved and valued, which he is. Send him on an all expenses paid week's holiday to Southern Italy or something

Wilder clearly sees something in him to let him have the armband in Sharp and Coutts' absences. He seems to have grown up here.

Despite his goal drought since the Derby away game, I still think he has looked sharp enough in most of the games, making enough of a contribution in terms of his general effort and workrate.

The was the only chance he got as he came off early in the game. Yes he missed it but who's to say he might not have bagged later in the game? Who's to say he wouldn't have buried the chances Sharp and Donaldson missed?

Tell you what he did do. He put a cracking, curling low cross in, the type any defender hates. Quality ball and Sharp made a point of that with his celebration. The lad may be low on confidence infront of goal but he still has other qualities e.g. the cross mentioned earlier.

Bottom line is he works hard for the team and not in a Matty Done sense. Both him and Sharp are showing positive signs together again, so for me it would be foolish to interfere with that.
