The Ref and his Assistants will be too busy pulling their puds to Deadpool. Be rewinding and fast forwarding like I used too at the fanny shot of Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct.

I was watching on my phone on the train on the way to work, so may not have caught everything, but was the ref that bad? What did he actually get wrong? He missed the handball from Norwood’s shot, but it was tough to see in real time and without VAR. What else did I miss?

We all saw it, in real time.

Two penalties, a handball in the box and multiple sanctioned assaults on N'diaye.

Their first pen was his biggest error amongst many. Allowed them to push and shove and yet, incredibly, we got the bookings. He very nearly lost control of the game.

There was a completely different threshold for fouls for each team. Not just inconsistently. Clear story scripting.

Zero yellow cards for them again despite them pulling Ndiaye from pilllar to post, including one when he was clean through on goal.
Not even fouls given, shocker of a ref.

What we saw tonight was a triumph of showbusiness over football. A concerted attempt to make a fairytale out of the match and bring a lot of revenue to certain vested interests.

I remember in the first game, they had penalty shouts every time they got near our box, think they had something daft like 8 penalty shouts.

The first today is a foul, but he's tried to run into the box like a strong man tugging a car..... then jumped forward 5 yards. When Robinson held him off, he grabbed hold of robinsons arm and fell down.

Absolute shit houser of a player that Mullin, but why not if the ref buys into it all.

First pen looked extremely soft. Second pen was a stonewaller because Norwood lost his mind. One goal was scored. Don't see the point of a thread

Their number 8 was pissing himself about that handball. He saw it, he knew. He gestured to the fans that it was. Bent bastards.

Was that the challenge when Ndiaye was running through the centre towards the Kop ? Never showed a reply of that on tv.

It wasn’t just about the penalty decisions though.

The worst one for me was when Ndiaye was running with the ball, their number 8 knew he couldn’t get back so tried to just kick him. Fortunately Ndiaye was able to ride the challenge. Every other time, in every other game when a player does that it’s a booking. Not today though.

Rather have a ref make a few iffy calls than var sucking the fun out of football. First pen I'd need to read up the exact rules but the pull looked to still be happening on the line JUST so it's a pen but I can't slag any ref off trying to decide that in real time.

The handball? Before var ruined the game I'd say that's a handball. Who knows anymore 🤷‍♂️

I do believe it the reverse fixture it was a straight red card offence

Think the ref went too far when he held up play while his make up was adjusted then added time on for it.

I saw him practicing pointing too the penalty spot and pulling out cards against a green backdrop before the game
