It wasn’t just about the penalty decisions though.

The worst one for me was when Ndiaye was running with the ball, their number 8 knew he couldn’t get back so tried to just kick him. Fortunately Ndiaye was able to ride the challenge. Every other time, in every other game when a player does that it’s a booking. Not today though.
Or if your playing for Sheffield United it's a red.

Me and Hecky were politely pointing that one out to the fourth official for quite a while. I mean, we’ve lost a player for three games for similar from the first leg… so you could see why it should be completely ignored.

There was a completely different threshold for fouls for each team. Not just inconsistently. Clear story scripting.
Agree ! It seems there was one team pushing pulling and shoving the other was getting nothing unbelievable performance from the ref! Talk about see no evil! Just amazing.
Topping it off with 2 pens for them and none for us even with an handball like we saw.
There living a dream are Wrexham with this Holywood caper .
Still can't get my head round some of these decisions the ref made, infact he was an embarrassment to the game really.

There seems to have been a lot of talk from National League sides all season about the decisions they get. This is just one quote I've seen from many after Billy's comments

I don't necessarily think refs are taking bribes but they definitely seem swayed by the hoo hah surrounding Wrexham. They should just ask if they can be on the documentary instead of trying to get into by being dodgy on the pitch

I was watching on my phone on the train on the way to work, so may not have caught everything, but was the ref that bad? What did he actually get wrong? He missed the handball from Norwood’s shot, but it was tough to see in real time and without VAR. What else did I miss?
The handball was a 50/50 call, using old money I wouldn't have given it.

He got both penalties right.

They've seen the documentary and then decided Paul Mullin is Neymar

Ok then the ref got the penalty decisions right !!!
What about all the other incidents the ref gave them,! Yes everything is subjective! I am biast ok!
Any neutral watching that would have seen the atrocious pulling and shoving by Wrexham (must play by a different set of rules in the national) got away with unbelievable things.
Right result anyway which proves there's no sour grapes! Just want both teams to play with the same set of rules!,that definitely wasn't the case last night .

Two penalties would have had their outcomes changed by VAR, even the Guardian MBM, never knowingly fair to United, said as much. On top of that, look at all the fouls given to Mullin compared to what Ndiaye didn't get. A more one-eyed referee you will never see.

Plus he was just incompetent, he kept standing in the way

Some saying the first pen was right?

I'd take a look again, the contact started clearly outside the box on replays. Even seen a still image.

Not seen a ref THAT blatantly biased in a long time. Bring back Graham Poll ffs 🤣

I work with a Grimsby fan who fucking hates them and read plenty about them getting favourable treatment from officials.

Just absolutely blatant
Wow how the world changes, Grimsby have a fan......
Halt the universe...

On the first penalty, the first contact was well outside the area. If first contact had have been inside the area, the Man of The Match would've gone down straight away. But he continued to drive towards the edge of the box, like a husky pulling a sled and then flung himself headlong into the box. Ref fell for it.
Second penalty, nailed on. Fucking stupid challenge from Norwood and he knows it.

Our handball penalty appeal was a blatant handball. They get missed though. All the time. Especially when you want to get on Disney Plus.
