Also, not sure if this was the same across the whole of Sheffield, but in the 70's, lots of lads used to say "all Blades aren't we?", years before I ever heard any SWFC fan add "we're" to make it WAWAW.

I remember hearing my dad and his mates say that in the early 90's when meeting up in the waggon & horses at heeley. I'm not bothered though, they can have it cause it makes you sound like a prick

Thanks for the "Pink" refresher Grafk, god it sucks to be old. Used to stand on the Kop, John St side against the railing so the wife (then girlfriend) who is vertically challenged could see. I can close my eyes and see a Currie goal at the BL end and Bill Punton charging towards the Kop by the touchline...........

More recently I always liked

We are the Sheffield United,
We play in the red white and black
And we are so proud,
We shout it out loud
Division one we're coming back

although I guess division one does date it a bit though ;-)

We could still use it today, just forget all this premiership and championship bollocks and substitute division 2

If you go to http://fanchants.co.uk you can see a lot of SU

Song Lyrics
I never felt more like swingin' a pig,
From Hyde Park Flats, to Wadsley Bridge.
UNITED, you got me swingin a pig,
As you do, As you do, As you f*cking well should do...
(repeated)

The police did get someone. I'll not mention the lad by name, but he was one who knocked around in our crowd on match days and was one of the quieter more unassuming members of that lot.
When we found out, we couldn't believe it, he'd have been one of the last you'd have thought had the evil intent and bollocks to do such a terrible act.
One of.the songs on Ronnies CD goes along the lines of;

There's a boy
A little boy
Throwing acid everywhere
And his name is Richard something but the question isn't where
Is it me or is it you
It's hard to tell until it hits
But.when it hits you, you'll know cos it burns a little bit

No sure if that was a song around at the time or just one Ronnie Sharp made up?
