Watching the game tonight, I can't think of anything worse than moving somewhere like the Olympic Stadium.

Can we take a minute just to appreciate what a fucking brilliant home we have? Proper ground, compact, close to the city centre, and It's been brought up to date exceptionally well. There's also so much potential for it for the future.

I think it'd be soul destroying for me if it was us in that situation. It's not a football stadium, there's no soul there at all. I almost feel bad for the West Ham fans... Almost.

Imagine the stadium we could have if we merged with wednedzednesday. 60,000 every match. It would be amazing! :)

I love 4-sided grounds. Bowls are fine, for the FA Cup final or internationals, but it must feel a bit daft watching Man City play Accrington Stanley on an early round League Cup game in that enormous thing. My favourite ground (aside from BDTBL of course) is Old Trafford. Huge, beautiful, imposing, and proof that a 4-sided ground can work at the top level of football.

I've got no idea why no new stadiums try to emulate this...

The Kassam Stadium. Much like their fans’ dislike for Wilder is baffling, this is a stadium opened this century that inexplicably has just 3 sides.

Dont ever leave Bramall Lane...

There is something about the place I find quite emotional and moving the times ive been, a magic and history you just can never get back or replicate at a new plastic soulless bowl

Jonny.. You're a Blade.

Its OK, you're amongst friends. Just quietly slip across from Worcester City and accept the inevitable.

You would've thought they'd consult the fans before building new stadiums - you know, the people who'll be using it for the rest of their lives.

But they obviously don't. Because no fan says "I want a generic identikit arena devoid of any discernible features or character whatsoever".

Spurs have deliberately incorporated a single tier Kop in their new ground. The first scheme which had been two tiers right the way round (think Arsenal) was redesigned specifically to try and make it like Dortmund with the hope that it will generate the same kind of atmosphere (Cue conversation about safe-standing etc. etc.)

Yep, Spurs are an exception. It's about time someone was. Hopefully they're taking the lead in changing the thought process for stadium design. The tide really needs to turn because we can't be building more of the shite that has appeared in the last 20 years or so.

the kop needs sorting without too much change. A second tier on the south stand and were done unless a crazy billionaire buys us and half of S2 for extensions

A ground holding 40,000 in this era would be epic

Rotherham's new ground isn't too bad at all. It's the minimum new grounds should be. Steep stands, with not every stand the same.
