At the risk of going over old ground, I believe that the reason the kits are late is because the club is scared stiff to admit that we're signed up with a Payday Loan Company

My guess is that we'll be told in one announcement that we have multiple "partners":

Company A: Beers
Company B: Food
Company C: Stand Sponsor
Company D: Stand Sponsor
Company E: Stand Sponsor
Company E: Stand Sponsor
Company F: Academy
Company G: Media Partner
Company H: Shirt Sponsor

I suppose I shouldn't be so cynical in my old age...................?

A. Generic piss lager
B. some manky pies
C. Shakletons high seat chairs kop
D. CCC stand
E. local celeb who once walked down Bramall Lane Stand
F. Harrys cut and shut Stand
G. Sheffield Star
H. www.payusorwebustyour legs.com
J. added time sponsored by Bri and iIrenes

I'm reminded of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer seeks a loan from Moe and Moe tells him that his credit rating is so bad he will have to break his legs in advance....

"Here's the new home and away shirts for the coming season. At the moment they are shown without sponsorship, but stand by for news in the coming days of an exciting new partnership deal for Sheffield United!"
News blackout ensues.
Fast forward to 02/82/2013 and SUFC running out of the tunnel at BDTBL with 'TwoRonsFinancialManagement' across their chests.

Pay day loan company I think it will be.

Bolton got lucky with their deal as they were in effect bailed out by the council who found them an alternative as it helped with something that they are working on.

We’ll take the approach that others have done it, it’s not worse than alcohol, gambling etc etc.

Is it just me that doesnt care what it says on the front of the shirt as long as they give us some decent cash?

No, there are many others who feel the same

I'd have hoped that the club would have tried harder to find an alternative to a Payday loan company

It's more likely to be because it's ........Macron

Not sure I understand all the scorn directed towards Macron? They seem to be building up a portfolio of high-profile clubs: AZ, Monaco, Napoli, Lazio, Real Betis, Villa, Hajduk Split, etc. So they must be doing something right?
Are Macron shirts really any worse than other manufacturers?

Couldn't give a rat's who makes our kit so long as it's quality. Macron's gear is made for people with pie-retention issues - shapeless and cheap.

Thought I'd being this thread back. Wasn't this put to them at the forum thing recently and the club said it would not be a payday loan company?

I, like SBSP, said all along I couldn't really care less who sponsors us, as long as it gives us a bit of money to spend in the squad, but will people be happy now we don't have nasty loan man on board, or are we going to go the whole hog and have some Iraqi arms merchant sponsoring us instead?

Julian Winter did indeed say that it wouldn't be a payday loan company.

I couldn't give a monkeys, its purely about generating money, I haven't heard of anyone boycotting ITV in protest at their half hourly adverts or questioning their morality, what's the difference?

However it does seem ironic, that talk of a payday loan company, has generated such a large amount of interest.

UTB

You're right. I boycott ITV because of their sh*t television programmes

You're right, you shouldn't be so cynical.....

topspring??? one of mccabes wanky chinese building companies i suppose

Yabadabadoo. :)

I'm sure that the public perception of payday loans companies has resulted in a change of heart

To renege on a deal that, to the best of my knowledge, was signed in the Spring must have cost a bob or two, but I'm pleased that common sense appears to have prevailed

Thank you to all who contributed to the debate
