In my hunt to find any small sliver of positivity for next season, I remembered that CFI only have a one year sponsorship deal with us.
It's the most rank amateur tinpot looking logo I've ever seen on a football shirt, and I'll be delighted if CFI don't continue as our sponsor.
It's hard to imagine a future sponsor being anywhere near as grim which is I guess has to be a positive.

Personally I wasn't a fan of 99% ripping off an old shirt, as we did for the design this year, it just seems lazy.
Here's hoping for a fresh original shirt design and a sponsor that isn't minging next season. Surely that's not asking too much? 🤞

Yet, if we’d have stormed the league, the shirt and the sponsor would have become legendary…Sadly the “tinpot logo” have suited our tinpot image and tinpot performances.

In a way the team and board have done us all a favour by delivering a season so shocking from so early on that nobody in their right mind will have bought a replica home shirt and we can quietly forget the big red square of doom ever existed.

I think it's wishful thinking... if we couldn't find a half decent sponsor for a year in the PL surely we won't get a better one having been relegated back to championship? Maybe if the club gets sold we will start looking for more long term partners but at this point I think it will be another 1 year deal to whoever pays the price.

I actually really like the kits this year but glad I didn't get one now as it would just be disappointing looking at it

In the same way USG looked diabolical on our 20/21 shirt, so does this CFI on yet another embarrassing season.

I’m going to start basing our chances for the season ahead on how poor the sponsor looks on the home shirt, as there does appear to be a correlation.

Eyup!

This seasons home shirt is literally a polyester representation of our shitshow of a season. The collar and sponsor are truly honking.

Am I reading this right fans are now piling in on a sponsor who will have coughed up a few million to help our clubs financials. (It's tin pot ) grow up .

I’m not slagging off the sponsor, I’m slagging off the logo on the home shirt, it looks OK to me on the other kits, the red on the black GK kit looks really nice, but on the home shirt its just shit, they could have done more.

Nether am I slagging of Errea, they make some good sports equipment, I’ve used the shin pads and gloves for mountain biking for the last couple of years and I’m happy.

I’m slagging off the club for getting the shirts made to such a low quality that they fall to bits after a couple of washes, I don’t own one but looking in the shop, the stitching and crest attachment is shocking.

New sponsor logo and better quality shirt next season please.

Wednesdays sponsors name is embarrassing the logo matches it, like something on a hovis advert.id want several million to even consider it.
Suits em,to be fair.

The weird part of this seasons home kit design was the choice of kit to base the design on. The 97-98 season will always be remembered for the Deane and Fjortoft sales and the ultimate failure in the playoffs.

Why would we want this season to have any association with that? Choose a kit from a successful season FFS!

We’re likely to add 2 new shirts to the accolade of ‘never worn in a winning league performance’ to go with the green one in the Covid season. We haven’t worn the grey one much though.

Would you be happy if CFI just re-did the logo?
What did you make of the commercial deal?

Would you be happy with a betting firm instead (assuming the logo was to your liking)?

Because we sold Ndiaye and Berge and are an ultimate failure.

To be honest yes as long as its not ugly or tinpot then I'm fine with it. Betting & football go hand in hand, people just get their knickers in a twist about anything these days.

If it's a major issue the government can regulate the industry or ban it like they did cigarette sponsors. Until then, crack on.

I'd hate to be associated with a company like Ramsdens again though, shite green logo and literally preying on the poor.

Ideally get a local succesful company like Gripple, Irwin Mitchell or Sumo on board.

Personally, I'd happily pay an additional £10 on a replica shirt if Laver were our sponsors. They might not be able to bid quite as much as some of our recent tinpot sponsors but there must be a case to say the club would make back the difference via an uplift in merch sales.

So the logo is the main thing?
Over the commercial deal or who the company actually are?

🤣🤣 worrying about a logo when the shirts will still be made by fucking Errea! Talk about tin pot!

Ahem……..😩

From a kit buying perspective definitely. I won't buy a kit with a shit logo on it. Generally most companies with the clout to afford football shirt sponsorship have the finance to pay for a logo design that's not utter dogshit, we just seem to find them like a needle in a haystack.

I draw the line at companies that prey on the poor like Ramsdens pawn shop or any payday loans company. But alcohol / gambling.. not a problem.
