Brentford have won the race to sign experienced former Sheffield United striker Neil Shipperley.

The 32-year-old has agreed a four-month contract at Griffin Park after being released by the Premiership club earlier this month.

Brentford becomes the ninth club of Shipperley's career, in which has has scored 139 league and cup goals.

Gillingham were among those who were also interested in the former Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Wimbledon striker.

Good to see shipps find a club i hope he does well for them.

Dosnt surprise me he has gone back down south either.

I'm glad that Shipps has found a new club and i am even happier that it is at Brentford, i have a soft spot for the bees and i hope he can help them out of the pretty dire situation they find themselves in.

Thanks for everything HMS.

Nice to see he'll still be wearing red and white stripes, good luck to him and to Brentford, he will no doubt be a great assett to the Bees. :)
