Has anyone got the clip of Shelton being brought down at Old Trafford by Gabriel Hienze? Cant find it anywhere but must exist as it was live on tv.
Cheers & UTB.

Here ya go... 1min 35 seconds in...

Great performance by the Blades that night, made Utd look very ordinary.Definite penalty and following the game on the Man U phone in their fans agreed, remember one caller saying No way will Sheffield United go down! That last game against Wigan still haunts me, love Jags but what the f **k was he doing handling that ball in the area! and David Unsworth the knob despatching the pen that sent us down , on the way up now though

"United vs. Sheffield United" - urgh.

Remember watching that night and thinking we'd got an absolute star on our hands in Shelton; he really gave them the runaround. Felt the same about Nade that season too...

:(

Now why bring this up, all it has done is wind me up, I could scream right now !!!!!

That is one thing that really bugs me. If you say united people automatically assume you must mean man united because, well, there is only one united isn't there ? Typical armchair fans who don't realise anyone outside the premiership exist, sod off you arrogant twats. Sorry ladies and gentlemen, rant over !!!

Shouldn't we really be letting all this go now?

I'd forgotten what an absolute shocker that decision was. It could only have been worse if he 'd booked Luton Shelton for diving.

Not a bad effort from outside the box by Tongey either.

I don't agree with that; I'd have respected him a hell of a lot more if he had booked Shelton for diving. At least then he would have justified his decision that he didn't think it was a penalty. The way he went was one of two things that night - incompetence or cheating after the grief he'd had from Warnock after Gerrard's intent penalty on the first day of the season. A penalty and Man United down to ten men, 1-2 with 15 to go? Maybe, just maybe.

Watching that back and remembering the Gerrard 'intent' penno from the first game... we were completely 'done' at times during that season. Fuck the Premiership and every twat in it

The Gerrard incident just set the tone for the season.

We were never going to get much at all from the refs.

Did not help that we had a manager that slagged refs off all the time.

I had forgotten that I had seen Ronaldo play. Alzheimers or what :(

Every time things like this pop up, I want to smash scudamores skull in. And I'm generally quite placid. I know the refs decisions have got nothing to do with him, but any excuse eh!
