Or so the chant used to go up from a few blokes at the back.
Then there would be a small cheer as people realised that our beloved neighbours had conceded a goal.
Then a few minutes delay until the little scoreboard started flashing "Latest Score! as the crowd started roaring "Wooooooooaaaaaahhhhhhh".
Until finally a huge cheer when the scoreboard confirmed that the rumours were true and Sheffield Wednesday had indeed f***ed it up again.

Why does this not happen any more? I don't recall it happening at all this season.
It gave the crowd a lift and sent a buzz around the ground.
Even the dullest game could be enlivened by the SWFUIA pantomime.
There were four opportunites on Saturday and yet, still nothing. I miss it.

Or the more specific and still trottered out is "Jackie Charlton"s f++ked it up again"...

Or am I just a kid from the Seventies....

Doesn't matter though.
The very first quote on the fans opinions page of the Star went something like this :
"4,000 to Fulham, fantastic amazing brilliant support, biggest away following of the day".

As long as they keep their priorities in order everything will be fine.

Came away from the Lane disappointed with the game and it did cross my mind, just to round the day off, that the pigs must have at least got a point as there'd been no SWFUIA chants. A very pleasant surprise to hear on the radio that they'd got battered by 4 :)

I did notice on the FL show that they only got half the away end - does half that stand really hold 4k?

Fulham started the day three points and seven goal difference worse off than Wednesday. At half time I pointed out to my dad that another two from Fulham would see them go above Wednesday. Cheered me up a bit at full time when I burst out laughing at the final score.

We are no longer in the same league as the snort trotters so it would be a little embarrassing.

Dunno but that end at Fulham is a bit different- it has always had away fans on one side and a "neutral" part (ppppfff!) - but there Always seems to be away fans in the neutral part....

You should know anything about the pork's attendances, and truth getting in the way of a good story, are never good bed fellows.

It could just be me, but the fact they would have fucked it up in the league above us which we'll probably not see again for the best part of a decade kind of takes the fun out of it.

Saved me the bother. Its like taking the piss out of a millionare who's just lost £50,000 when im a dribbling hobo.

I actually went in the Wednesday end for the Fulham game. My mate is unfortunately an oinker so I agreed to go along for a laugh. I didn't realise how much fun I would have, The one glaring issue with both United and Wednesday at the moment is the real lack of strikers. If you go back in time there used to be some pretty good discussions about who had the best striker (Edwards v Varadi or Deane v Hirst). Whoever Wednesday put up front in the 2nd half makes Porter look like Rooney. Until both teams sort out the top of the pitch we are both going to struggle progressing.

Wow. That is restraint. Seeing the pork get stuffed 4-0 in a pen with the unclean and not dancing about, leaping up and down and fist pumping every time Fulham scored.
Must have been anaesthetised by summat?
