I don't know if my ancient brain is playing tricks again, but I'm certain this was played after the match as the crowd were leaving. I was in the the John St Center Stand seat cc 130.

As well as the football I remember this game for the brutal fight on the kop. W ham came on and were in the top corner until the boozers turned out at five to three, most Blades came up the staircase in the corner to get the cockneys surrounded then all hell broke loose, the cockneys got a terrible shoeing that day, I felt a bit sorry for them .......................................... for about 2 seconds.

Anyone who ever wonders what was special about Currie should watch this. There are loads of examples of what set him apart. That dribble and shot at 19:20 is brilliant. I’ve always remembered it but never thought I’d see it again. What a player.

As its international weekend this Saturday, I'll tide you over with a video I have of highlights from this match. I'll make it public at 3pm and switch it back to private at 3:30pm. Deadbat might even do a report.

Any chance of you putting the whole thing up on YouTube, please, WB? It would be great to be able to access it as and when required. My kids are in their twenties now but their education in all things Sheffield United still needs occasional topping-up.

And it would give me something else to watch in addition to the Bouncing Day footage when I’ve had a bit too much to drink and I need something to cheer me up.

At some point I'm going to put it into a redone season review video for 74/75. The difficulty there is that Microsoft stopped doing Movie Maker, which I'd got reasonably familiar with, so I have to train up on new software. Any suggestions MobileBlade or Sikkim ?

Second, is that I'm still trying to get my hands on more footage and if this is widely out there I might not be able to. Once I've got everything I can out of this source I'll post the lost.
